4.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Professional Grade Remote Control
This is a *professional* remote control. You can purchase cheaper remotes for use with the EOS system cameras, but the range on those remotes is line of sight and with-in 15 feet. The range on this remote is over 300 feet.
The reason for the high cost is the extended range and you do not need to be within line of sight. I have mounted this remote behind basketball...

1.0 out of 5 stars $450 WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?
What a RIPOFF!

The Nikon D70 has a wireless remote for under $50

My Canon G3 cost me $500 and CAME WITH A NICE WIRELESS REMOTE!

I'm wanting A Canon EOS D20. Gee, I can get a wireless remote for 1/3 the price of the camera and lens. NOT!

The reason for the high cost is the extended range and you do not need to be within line of sight. I have mounted this remote behind basketball goals and on auditorium ceilings with fantastic results.
If you are looking for a unique tool for your EOS camera, this is a great addition.
