Those failures aren't covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If your product fails during the term of the original manufacturer's warranty for other reasons, you'll be directed to the original manufacturer for service. 3-Day Service Guarantee — Details

If we can't repair your product, we'll replace it with a new or refurbished product with similar features and functionality, or with an Amazon.com Gift Card for the original purchase price of the product (plus tax).

National Electronics Warranty LLC (NEW), your Canopy Protection Plan's administrator, will fix your product and ship it back to you within 3 business days of receiving it at the repair facility. You won't find faster or better service. Why? NEW has been the innovator in service for almost 3 decades.

For items requiring in-home service (typically some electronics and major appliances), NEW will have an authorized technician in your home within 3 business days of reporting your claim.

In the event National Electronics Warranty LLC (NEW) is unable to fulfill the 3-business-day service guarantee, NEW will refund the cost of your plan upon request. Service guarantee refunds will be issued to you directly by NEW and not by Amazon.com.

After the manufacturer's warranty has expired, we commit to a 3-day service guarantee with the following details:

  • Customers must be available for an in-home appointment during the 3 business day period following the initial claim. If unavailable, we will schedule an appointment based on customer availability, but the 3-day guarantee will not apply

  • If parts are required but unavailable to complete a repair, the guarantee may not apply. Any way you look at it, your parts are worth waiting for

  • The guarantee does not include transit times or shipping times. Why? Because transit and shipping times are out of our hands

  • The guarantee only applies to service performed in the continental United States

  • If NEW fails to fulfill the 3-business-day service guarantee as outlined above, you may request a plan refund by contacting NEW at 1-866-551-5924

I recently sent my Ipad in for repairs after accidentally dropping it onto my garage floor. Along with the fact that the ipad no longer working properly, it sustained a dent in the corner of the pad, which broke the case it was in, as well as six-seven small noticeable scratches on its face of the pad. I went through your claims process and everyone associated with the claim were great. It just so happened that I got a call from your company looking for survey information at the time i got the ipad back. When I opened it I was little more than a little troubled at first because, the corner was still damaged and the scratches were still on the face, and I relayed that to the person on the phone who said that he would pass that information on and have someone call me from the ambassadors department. The concern I expressed was that I sent my wrecked FERRARI in for repairs and you fixed the engine, but you left the body and the windshield untouched. Now I believe that most people who are paying for your three year drops and spills protection would have thought because the pad was sent in, and was in your possession, that all aspects of the damage would be repaired. Today I did have a young man by the name of Casey from the ambassadors return my call and as nice, and as skillfully as he was trained, he went on to say that they are many exclusions that are not listed on the Canopy plan, but that cosmetic things are not covered. He then went on to say "please feel free to have someone else repair it locally. "WELL".. thanks a lot Casey! thank you for giving me your permission to have someone else fix my ipad, especially when I thought I was paying to have you and canopy do that for me.Read more ›

Canopy/National Electronics warranty... after being serviced through the mail in warranty, my laptop came back filthy dirty and scratched! It looked like someone was eating fried chicken while fixing my laptop... really grows. The top cover is scratched as well as the screen!! It was serviced in Irvine, Texas, don't buy this warranty!

You cannot complete a claim without obtaining a mailing label from the company, which they make very difficult.

I've filed claims under two protection plans. The first one, I had trouble obtaining the mailing label but when I finally sent the insured product in, the company was unable to fulfill the contract so they refunded my money and the price of the insured product. I considered it a fair deal, but on my second claim for another product I found the mailing label issue is systemic.

I've been waiting for a mailing label for over two weeks. I was told I would be sent a mailing label upon completing the claim, but it did not arrive. I repeatedly requested to resend the mailing label (by email option to a gmail account where I checked All Mail and Spam folders), but to no effect at all. I also contacted the company via the Contact Us form on their website several times over the last two weeks. I never received a response from them. I have received update notifications via email when I change something on my profile, so I know I am receiving email from the company -- just not when it moves my claim forward.

When I called the company and talked to a person, I was unable to obtain a mailing label on the phone. They seemed to be aware that the website does not produce mailing labels despite the feature being presented. Their representative said something to the effect that they prefer people to call in. Another representative indicated that their website form is not working. But they did not offer to fix it, and although they promised to send a label, they were unable to send one while I was on the phone.

I have still not received a mailing label, which means I cannot actually complete the claim for my insured product.

I bought this protection thinking I would never need it but accident do happen. Lucky for us, when my son dropped his tablet and cracked the screen they replaced it at full cost with out any hassles. The company was great!!

I am quite leery of warranties. The fine print always seems to be opposite of what I thought I was buying. But this warranty proved to be different. My daughter bought a tablet, and we bought the plan. After 6 mo. the tablet stopped working. My daughter sent it in, and though it couldn't be fixed, we received a full refund. Simple and easy. As warranties should be.

During the month of Christmas I ordered a Microsoft Surface Tablet that included the Canopy 2 year plan and an Accessory Bundle. Days later I received the Canopy Plan by email and the Accessory Bundle. When I did not receive the Microsoft Tablet, I checked my account and found it was cancelled by the seller. I contacted Canopy and informed them I would make another attempt to get Microsoft Surface Tablet. If unsuccessful, I would have to request a refund for the 2 year plan and the Accessory Bundle from another seller. I finally got the Tablet on the third attempt a month later and they honored the purchase date of that Tablet. They were professional and understood my situation. There were no returned items for refunds and everything fell into place.
