5.0 out of 5 stars adventure between birth of world and next centuries, March 4, 2003
By
This review is from: Canopy (Paperback)
I am a french reader not used to read books in english, but this is an exception. I read it from the beginning to the end without stopping during some days. I was very fascinated by this mix of an almost prehistoric world and the attempts of major modern company in order to make money with human dream of eternal life. All that when a foolish sect tries to take advantage of this quest to spread death and nightmares around the world.
I feel a little lost now that I reached the end od this story...

From Ron Gillespie, Screenwriter.
Michael Fancello is a Great Novelist!
Canopy has the kind of suspence, deep plot, and reality that we have all come to expect from a great Eco-Thriller.
This book is a must to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCITING, YOU WON'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN!, October 11, 2002
This review is from: Canopy (Paperback)
This is an exciting suspense thriller. I love the way the author describes the jungles and the rain forests. Made me feel I was right there. I couldn't put the book down, and I loved the fact that the author incorporates problems with the environment within his exciting story. You will totally enjoy reading this new novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rain Forest Rave, June 11, 2001
By
This review is from: Canopy (Paperback)
This cinematic novel not only places you in a Central American rainforest, you can feel yourself choking on the humidity and joining in the search for the rare orchid that is at the core of this tale. The dazzling narrative is a modern retelling of Ponce De Leon's quest for the fountain of youth, only the modern conquistadors are pharmaceutical corporations and international terrorists. The details of this perilous voyage are precise and gripping. Although I suspect this book will make a great movie, it's an engaging read that holds its own with Crichton, Clancy and King.
