Straight from the movie "Coyote Ugly" comes Can't Fight The Moonlight, a mid-tempo pop song from Leann Rimes that truly hits all the right spots. Written by the greatest songwriter to ever live Diane Warren, this song truly has it all. From a breathtaking melody, to some of the most seductive, and creative lyrics Warren has ever written, this song is something special. Rimes shines vocally on this track, getting away from the Patsy Cline sound that has followed her around since her career began and creating her own style on this track. Rimes herself sounds seductive when she sings words like "Deep in the dark, you'll surrender your heart, don't you know, don't you know that you, Can't fight The moonlight." Musically the song has the pop feel to it that you hear with Britney and Christina but producer Trevor Horn wisely uses different instruments including a beautiful string arrangement to give the song a more mature sound and still connect with Leann's older fans. Certainly the biggest step towards pop music Leann has ever made. Whether or not the song becomes a hit depends on whether top 40 radio knows a great song when they hear one. Lately I don't know if they do know. One things is for sure, when Leann and Diane Warren get together, they certainly create great songs. LeAnn Rimes made a terrific effort in this song. She succeeded might I add. I don't know what I would do without it. I hope other people develop the same feelings for this spectacular song! LeAnn will probably enter the pop world as her music grows, and I don't mind if it's country or pop music, this girl has got it all. She also sings three other great songs on the Coyote Ugly Soundtrack. Enjoy it!

I straight away bought this single and the soundtrack of Coyote Ugle after waching it............i've never buy a soundtrack b4....but because of her songs....i did...........

oh my God, this should won the song of the year! a brilliant performance by leann, the movie is good, but is the song that kept me watching and watching! recently, i watched her live performance of this number and she was awsome, with five sooooo good looking guys, some topless, some with singlet as her dancers, we hav no doubt of her vocal, now, no more doubt bout her live performance! u buy it, u'll would regret!

This single is truely amazing! It hit me the first time I heard it! Its just fantastic. I saw the music video in India! It was aired on TV so frequently.. I haven't seen it here(US) on television neither on FM! Just waiting to see it soon! Cheers! Samar

This time around, LeAnn has dipped her country style into a funky dance pop sound, allowing for an amazing hit song. The song itself is penned by none other than famed songwriter Diane Warren (Christina Aguilera's "I Turn To You", Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing", Toni Braxton's "Un-Break My Heart" & "Spanish Guitar, etc.) Rimes & Warren have put in a double dose of their work with the title single, and the follow up b-side/single "But I Do Love You", both of which are also avaialble on the Coyote Ugly soundtrack, and on LeAnn's latest "I Need You". A truly great pop tune, no matter your source.

This is a great CD, so why did I give it four stars? Well, I love Can't fight the moonlight, it is excellent, it's new and different for Leann, see, she's always done country, but now pop music has given her a turn. But there's something about But I do love you. It's OK, but it just doesn't make me say wow when it ends like most of her work does. Example: I Need You, How Do I Live and more. But Can't fight the moonlight is great, so I'd suggest this CD to any Leann fan, or to someone who has a love for pop music.

I knew the movie was going to be a hit...but I had no idea how much the soundtrack would be...WOW. Especially this song!!! I love it!!!! I can't help but listen to it over and over again. I didn't know that Leann could sing like that. If you haven't bought the soundtrack...you should, especially if you liked the movie!!!!

This is my new favorite song.. it's catchy, original, and great vocals! This song made me a LeAnn Rimes fan!

This is a sensational song although you will find the song Can't fight the Moonlight on the Coyote Ugly Soundtrack and lots of other compilation albums. The other song But I Do Love You is a pretty good love song and if you're into Leann Rimes music in general you'll no doubt love it. Not really being into her music I didn't mind the song at all. It's a shame there's no film clip or more songs on this CD though but the two that are on there are worth the money. If you don't want to pay the money for a whole album but want Can't Fight the Moonlight then this is a good buy.
