This review is from: Can't Get It Out Of My Head (Album Version) (MP3 Download)
Everything gelled correctly on this album... the songs, the flow of music, the stylistic approached to the writing, and the timing of the release. If you like this style of rock (and I do) then you cannot go wrong owning a piece of Rock's golden age, this being a perfect example of that creativity. Like other themed albums (Yellow Brick Road, Dark Side of the Moon, Houses of the Holy, Goat's Head Soup, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, Hot Rats, Sgt. Peppers, Fragile, Aqualung, etc), Eldorado is a magnificent blend from start to finish without a break in the nonstop flow of entrancing music. This period in the late 60's and early 70's produced the finest rock and roll work of this or any other generation. These were the musings of musical genius that will never grace rock and roll ever again. Not the disco beat that followed, or the hillbilly twang that preceeded it can compare with the powerful and numerous outpourings that these talented bands produced in one short period (1967-1975).
