When it has came down to Elton John and what he has had in music for the past 45 years, it still remains just as dynamic and brilliant ten times over than the joke artists that rule radio today like Rihanna and Katy Perry. While his music isn't being recognized now, as much as it did back then, it still sounds much, much better than what is out there right now. That was the stamp of approval when The Diving Board came out late last year, and the songs still stand better than the wasted songs of today. Can't Stay Alone Tonight, the second single from The Diving Board is definitely a simplistic and strong piano ballad that works very well with Elton's best-known songs like Your Song and Candle In The Wind. It is definitely up there, as a great follow-up to what Home Again brought from Elton when it came out last year. I absolutely recommend the song, as a addition to your music library.

I dont know if Elton John is just tired of making records or is just old and empty of anything interesting. I found this song to be lacking of anything worthy of the real Elton John. Dull and unimaginative. Maybe this is as good as it gets for him. Good news for him..Cher is looking for a collaboration.

The first time I heard this song on the radio I knew I had to have it. I want to hear it over and over. At first I didn't know who was singing this.... A little country? A little Elton? A little I don't know! But I loved it. I even had to print out the lyrics so I could sing along with it!
