This is a perfectly done and faultless cd. Miss Pangman has listened to Annetet Hanshaw's records as well as the neglected Frances Williams' records obviously, for she's taken a bit from both of them and blended it with her unique and appealing voice. She covers Frances Willism' It's Unanimous as well as forgotten tunes liek Chick Bullocks "You Can't Stop Me From dreaming":. Miss Pangman is backed up by a tight combo, featuring Canada's greatest trad musician, seccesfully recreating 20's hot jazz and western swing! Great CD!!!

We heard Alex at the Montreal Jazz fest and were just knocked out by her flare with this music. Her voice was great and her love for the music showed in her fantastic performance. We love both CDs! I'm sure great things are in store for this vibrant, sassy singer. Her music is as red hot as her hair.

I love lots of different music: Classic Jazz, Classic Blues, Classic Country, Lots of Rock. Bobby Darin, Frank,Ella, Doris Day,Hank Sr.,Jimmy Rodgers,Jimmy Rogers,Jimmie Reed, Stones, Dylan, Beatles etc.
Alex Pangman is just SUPERB!! Would love to see her perform in Maine!What a treasure!! Check out April Barrows and Janet Klein also.

This music is mostly hot swing combo sides, however thier are a few western swing combo sides too. Pangman has a lilting and appealing voice, and her style is that of a Annette Hanshaw meets Bea Wain style singer. A great cd that shoudl be enjoyed by fans of authentic 1930's fans of ot swing and western combo swing, great cd.
