The TITLE TRACK lifts this cd's value, April 16, 2003
This review is from: You Can't Stop the Reign (Audio CD)
Okay. Let's be honest. Shaq is not the greatest rapper. And since music is not his first priority (basketball is #1), it's easy for us to not give this CD the careful listen it deserves. And don't get me wrong, there are some definite misses on this cd. However, there are great flashes of brilliance that will amaze you. The definite highlight is the title track. Shaq's delivery and the music mesh so well together, you'll start wondering if Shaq is thinking of quiting his day job (basketball)! There are even a few tracks in the beginning that give the album some lift. My suggestion is to give good listen to this cd........ And....Oh ya, as you're listening, forget that Shaq is a world champion ball player.

Another underated Shaq CD., February 27, 2006

Best Songs:
Still Can't Stop the Reign ****1/4 w/ Biggie Smalls
Legal Money **** w/ Prodigy
Strait Playin' ***1/4 w/ Nate Dogg
Edge of Night *** (Phil Collins beat)
Overall CD effort by Shaq ****
Overall Song Quality ***
Shaq does it again with another CD. This time around he has even bigger appearances from Rap Stars. He must have paid top dollar, because this time around he gathers Nate Dogg, Jay Z and even Biggie! The beats are even tighter aswell, not one single bad beat on the entire cd. Some of the beats are obviously borrowed (credit is given in the insert) but makes the raps sound even better. This is by far Shaq's best to date, edging out Shaq-Fu: Da return.
I would have to give this CD four stars just because of the quality beats and guests. Usually guests are overplayed, but in Shaq's case they helped out his quality alot.
I would have given this CD 3 1/2 stars, and It's better then Shaq Fu: Dar Return, but since theres no option for 3 1/2 I went with 3 stars.
