Twisted rules.This album is heavy with killer guitar and power drums that demand respect.Buy it,crank it,live it.These guys rule(d). P.S. They still rule.Check out the STRANGELAND soundtrack.

I picked up YCSRnR just after getting Stay Hungry 20 years ago..1984, which basically introduced me to the Twisted World of The Sister ! They still rate as one of my all-time fav bands!
And although Stay Hungry deserves all the success and attention it gets, I'd have to say that somehow I think thier previous effort 'You Can't Stop Rock n' Roll' is even better, it's strange but true...
Included on the Remastered Cd you'll find three extra tracks that any serious TS fan will enjoy but don't stand along the classic yet underated tracks that are included on YCSRR...My favs other than the 3 which are on 'Big Hits' are 'Like A Knife in the Back, We're Gonna Make It & You're Not Alone'
Highly reccommended Cd for any TRUE SMF out there and I know you won't be dissappointed.

Feel the Power of TS

This must be the best album Twisted Sister did, or will do. It's so great listen to the wonders of songs like: "Ride to live, live to ride" and don't forget the extremly well made song "Like a knife in the back". I listen to it every day and if you by it you will do it too. Dee Rules... Qwerty Sick.

All I can say is this is an awsome album by one of best metal bands of all time. Just buy it and enjoy!

While not as good as "Under the Blade", Twisted Sister's second effort "You Can't Stop Rock&Roll" is the next best thing. It isn't as commercial as some of their later stuff, which makes it great(I'm not a big fan of their "We're Not Gonna Take It" era). "The Kids Are Back","Like a Knife in the Back", and the title track drive this one. The only slow point on this one is the quasi-ballad "You're Not Alone(Suzette's Song)". Not one of my favorites but it's okay. Great 80's metal album! PLAY IT LOUD,MUTHA'!

This is an awesome album. In some ways this is a better album than Stay Hungry. It was the album that introduced me to twisted sister. The guitar work is awesome and Dee is at the top of his game. It has a heavier sound than most of their other albums and the song "You're Not Alone (Suzette's Song)" is a great power ballad. I highly recommend this album for those who like good Hard rock music.

If you are like me. I'm not really satisfied with the newer bands material coming out right now. So, I am going back and purchasing older bands material that I KNOW is good on CD. For example the first 3 Twisted Sisters. I love them! After Stay Hungry they lost me but they first 3 albums are impeccable!

Now, this is the older version of the CD not the remastered one. I've heard all kinds of mixed feeling on what sound good and bad. My stereo has a 7 band EQ and it makes damn near everything sound better then it would if I didn't have it at all. So, I'm happy with this CD. The mix could've been a little louder but it is fine considering when it was recorded. If you are looking for some good old rock n roll to buy. This is your album. Dee Snider's vocals are great as always and the drum sound is better on here then "Stay Hungry" though I love both albums. The tones are different for sure. I have not heard the remastered version of this. So, I cannot compare it to that. I'm glad I got the CD and that is the bottom line.

This is kinda the "Forgotten" TS album,but a very good one!Every track is good,I think The Kids are Back,and the title cut,stick out as the class of the CD,but there is some other good stuff on this album as well,check it out,you won't regret the purchase!Check out their "Come out and Play" album,also,if you like the Sister,in my opinion,that is the best Twisted album EVER!But again this album "You Can't Stop..." REALLY ROCKS!,and will delite Hard Rockers Galore!

To me, this album was Twisted Sister's best. It represents the band's raw power before their commercial success.

It came before Stay Hungry. People other than the most ardent Twisted Sister fans would not even know about it. But you are here looking at this review, so Twisted Sister must mean something to you. Well let me tell you this...buy this cd right now. The songs are great and rock hard. There are some true classics on this one including the title track, I Am, Ride To Live, Live To Ride, Like A Knife In The Back, and The Kids Are Back. I bought this on a whim and it continues to pay dividends every time I listen to it. Twisted Sister lays the groundwork for Stay Hungry with You Can't Stop Rock and Roll. It is a often overlooked piece of Twisted Sisters catalog. Highly Recommended.
