About the Author

Chris Clarke-Epstein, CSP has done many things in her life - from succesfully managing a 7 million dollar sales territory, raising two mostly economically self-sufficient children and, since 1984, building a thriving speaking, training, and consulting business.

Her mother claims that Chris gave her first speech at age six, when she was caught lining up neighborhood children, collecting their nickels and promising them a narrated tour of her newborn brother. These days, Chris delivers speaking and training programs around the world helping people learn faster, work better, and laugh harder. Her programs on building effective teams, increasing personal creativity, and thriving during change energize audiences with a powerful blend of sound research, practical experience, and infectious enthusiasm. Her clients, from Fortune 500 Companies to State and National Associations, often pay her the highest compliments - they bring her back again and recommend her to others.

Chris serves on the Board of Directors of the National Speakers Association. In 1998 she was elected Vice President of NSA and will serve as NSA President in 2000-2001. Chris earned the Certified Speaking Professional designation from NSA in 1993, a designation she shares with fewer than 325 other CSPs in the world.

Chris is the author of seven books and has recorded several video and audio tape series that enable people to take her ideas and humor home with them. Her stories of real people living in the real world encourage them to re-evaluate their own ability to have the lives they want.
