I consider nineteen eighty-nine to be the American music industry's last hurrah in terms of popular music. A string of solid pop records (when they actually *were* records!) were released that year that have, in my opinion, stood the test of time and continue to bring a smile to my face everytime I hear them. The Cover Girls' "We Can't Go Wrong" is certainly no exception.

I used to have this album on audio cassette tape and am looking forward to adding it to my collection again as I really enjoy the title song as well as the fun "All That Glitters Isn't Gold" (I did chuckle everytime I saw the video on MTV), the upbeat "My Heart Skips a Beat" as well as the fun "Up on the Roof" and the equally fun and upbeat "Cute."

In all, "We Can't Go Wrong" is one of those rare pop albums that I can leave running from beginning to end and not have to fast forward to skip through songs. - Donna Di Giacomo

I have to say, without a doubt, the 1980s were probably one of the best decades to grow up in and go to high school. This album was released in 1989 when I was 23, in the USAF, stationed in Moreno Valley, Ca. I loved the Cover Girls and still do. Angel, Carolyn, and Margo have amazing talent and voices that still hold true to this day. With the success of their first Cd, SHOW ME, the Girls continue to please and amaze with this second album. Some musicians found it very difficult to beat the first album or at least come up with material that could rival the first in this decade. I think the term "One Hit Wonder" was originated in this decade, if not, it was most commonly used for sure. If you love the first cd from this lovely trio, you must get this second one to complete the original lineup of the Cover Girls. You won't be disappointed with it if you love them as much as I do, still. Their voices never go outdated.

The second Album with Angel still as lead is an Excellent Album with great freestyle/pop type music.A must own for Freestyle fans this was the last great Cover Girls CD,luckily years later in 2013 these Original Cover Girls are back together and hopefully a follow up to this Album will come. The Ballads are great and freestyle songs are solid.Lets hope for New music in future.

"We Can't Go Wrong" and "Lovemission" are two songs that I hope, and know, will stay with me forever. I am 20 years old now, and at the age of 5 or so, my father gave me two cassettte tapes. One was MC Hammer's "Up With Hope, Down With Dope" single, and the other was The Cover Girls' single, "We Can't Go Wrong." I played the songs on the tape until they wouldn't play any longer, and because of that I will remember those days always.
