He's done better,

I was disappointed by this one, which seems to be a recording of a radio broadcast, complete with annoying voice over. Also, I didn't care too much for the arrangements, overly orchestrated. A much, MUCH better recording is Milanes' "Boleros Mexicanos", which is basically just him and his guitar. I'd rate that one 5 stars!

Different but amazing stuff from Pablo, half of the tracks are songs that one can enjoy forever, they dont seem to wear like most music. Orchestra works with ease and sounds really musical. (The womancommentator between tracks is strange, aspecially her overwelming voice!) Otherwise just outstanding. If you dont have this one, get it or youll be missing a real treat!

While a couple of tracks are over orchestraded, and the announcer's voice is somewhat annoying, the CD is a jewel. For the lover of boleros, this is one to take with you on that long road trip, or to play during that special ocassion. The guitar play by Lora is aggressive, inventive, and almost worth the price of the CD by itself.
