I think this is much better than any velcro belt you will buy at the local baby store. It does have a nice, secure, tight feeling around your back and under your belly. I'm a nurse, so on my 8th hour of work, it was very nice to feel that the belt was tight and not my back. My only complaint would be that it does role up on the bottom a little but if you position your pants right, it's not as bad.

Being my 4th child, I've been having stomach separation issues and all over stomach muscle weakness, being prone to injury. I reached down to pick up a single packet of oatmeal and pulled/tore a muscle going horizontally across the top of my belly. It was so very painful, I couldn't stand up straight and could hardly walk.

During pregnancy, there is nothing you can really do for it besides take Tylenol and rest. I ordered this support belt since I noticed my stomach felt better wearing belly bands and my actual maternity support belt.

I could hardly wait to put this on and it made a huge difference. Great support. It's similar to the control top material of pantyhose, but more comfortable/breathable. The sides, back, and under the belly are a thicker material providing the support, while the belly portion is thinner and much stretchier.

I'm 5'2", 140 pounds at 24wks (size 4 pre-preg) and this size Small fits pretty well. I'm almost wishing I had ordered an XS for right now since the belly portion does stretch quite a bit to allow for growth and with an injury, I wanted a tighter support, but I know the XS would most likely be uncomfortably tight in the sides/under belly in my 3rd trimester, so I'm pleased with this one knowing I should be able to continue using it the rest of the pregnancy. This size still helped me a great deal to feel better while my tummy muscles healed, so it was obviously enough support.

I can see myself wearing this just for support - it feels great and will be useful for the times when I don't want to wear my bulky maternity support belt.

Funny, I also am a nurse and did not really find this helpful at all. I used the Mini-Cradle and found it much more supportive. Maybe it is an issue of fit or where your discomfort is? I just wanted something that fit more snugly and held my belly up better. The belt I have did a much better job of relieving my sciatica pain. I tried wearing this 3-4 times but was so uncomfortable that I gave up. It didn't really hold anything up, but felt more like the top of control top panty hose.

I find this support belt to be very comfortable when I'm wearing it, however I wouldn't exactly call it a belt, it's actually a belly band and it is very hard to get in and out of at 8 months. That being said, I feel like it's still worth keeping my pants up all day as there is nothing more annoying than having to pull 3rd trimester full belly pants up every five minutes. I feel that it also offers some support and my back feels better when I wear it. I'm a teacher so I'm on my feet all day. I think the price is good and the comfort when wearing is good, but like I said it can be a challenge to get in and out of in the morning otherwise I would give it more stars.

Order a size smaller than you think you'd need. I am 5'6" and weighed 143 lbs. before pregnancy. I am now 37 weeks prego and weigh 172 lbs. The medium is still too big. It fits, but doesn't provide any support like I was hoping it would. However, it does provide a layer between my skin and my actual pregnancy belt making the belt a little more comfortable, especially while I'm working out.

I am still not large enough to fill this out completely. I haven't decided if I purchased the wrong size or if this is better suited for later pregnancy though. I am currently 5 1/2 months with my 5th pregnancy so I am not small. It is comfortable though and I am looking forward to seeing if it does better at the end of my pregnancy.
