5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, June 2, 2001
This review is from: Cantara Anachoreta (Audio CD)
Breath-taking darkness... It is definetly the best gothic metal album I have heard so far. This album is very emotional (very doomie...). Every song is a masterpiece, beginning with intro which is truly GOTHIC, the second song (The Endless Dance) is really epic, I like the third song (Requiem Ex Sidhe) very much - painful and emotional, the fourth (Goodbye to Jane) is different from others - it's not gothic (just woman "normal" vocals (not the gothic usual classical ones), without male voice in this song) but it doesn't make the song worse - it's a story of a sexually abused girl who ends her life with suicide, good song, some reviewers even call it the best from the album (but it seems to me they aren't really familiar with gothic music :). The fifth and sixth songs are also very good, but the seventh (Descending Messiah) is my favourite one. This is one of the few albums where I really like all songs (the others were Lake Of Tears - Headstones, Theatre of Tragedy - Aegis, My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans, etc.). I have about 3500 albums in my collection and this is my favourite one! If you like gothic metal I definetly reccomend you to get this record, you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tremendeous, September 2, 2000
This review is from: Cantara Anachoreta (Audio CD)
I came by this CD last month. The first fascinating thing was the booklet itself, the next fascinating thing was the music. I'm not much into gothic/black but this CD is roaring... I'm gonna definitely leave Metallica\Megadeth\Korn\and_other_dull_bands_for_money and I'll turn to the european scene where all is about creativity, energy and the music... not for green or blue or red pieces of paper called money... Definitely must have if you are into this...
