Visually, Ergo speakers offer high quality, real wood veneers, solid wood rounded edges and the classic driver configuration of tweeters and midrange drivers at the top, powerful woofers below, and a forward facing bass reflex port.

Exclusive ADT Tweeters

The Ergo series utilizes Canton's ADT aluminum manganese alloy tweeter. This tweeter has a unique one-piece dome and voice coil former for extended linear frequency response and high power handling.

Wave Surround

Aluminum cone woofers and midrange drivers utilize Canton's patented "wave surround". The wave surround allows for very high excursion levels while maintaining linearity. The result is deep, controlled bass and smooth, accurate midrange.

Real Wood Veneer and Metal Grilles

Product Description

Canton's Ergo 690 DC is a three-way floorstanding speaker. Able to handle up to 320 watts, each cherry-veneered enclosure houses two 8-inch aluminum wave surround woofers, a 7-inch aluminum wave surround midrange driver, and a 1-inch aluminum-manganese tweeter. The Ergo 690 DC features DC technology, which allows the speaker to provide sharp, precise bass reproduction at much lower frequencies than can be attained with conventional crossover designs.

I went from high end Klipsch to these speakers.
They are just amazing the quality of sound is superb!
The sound imaging is perfect.
Overall very pleased.

I replaced my Infinaty Reference Four floorstanding speakers with these, and was instantly pleased. Beautiful Cherry finish looks great, and the heavy duty metal grills are perfect for my cat that loves speaker cloth. I am driving them with the Pioneer VSX-1017 THX Select2 certified reciever. They deliver clear dynamic bass, not punchy or over powering. Smooth mid's and crystal clear highs. Music sounds great, but personally I'm a 'bass head' and happy to have the extra bass from my sub still.

After I popped in Independance Day from the beginning of the movie right to the scene where the generals decide that there is "something" out there, my girlfriend came running into the room to exclaim that "something just...oh, TURN THAT DOWN!!". Says it all for me...
