Montalvo's voice is one of the best you will ever enjoy. Her smooth music and lovely lyrics will soothe anything that ails you. Her voice inspires an instant sense of tranquility whether she is singing a soulful ballad or a more upbeat number. It is not necessary to speak Spanish to understand these songs because the music acts as the perfect translator. Just in case though, there is an Enlgish translation of the lyrics included.

Mariana Montalvo is a Chilean singer with a smooth, beautiful voice and excellent taste in poetry. Here, along with her own work, she interprets a number of famous poems (I'm especially impressed by the modern version of Spanish golden age poet Calderón de la Barca's "Si te miro"). The musicalvariety is also excellent, as she is influenced by different folk rhythms from all over Latin America.
