5.0 out of 5 stars Canvas is good enough!
I actually found mine used on ebay for a fraction of this price but believe me the price on amazon is the best around expecially as it's NEW. My only other heavy bag experience was with a vinyl type cover (a friend let me borrow it) and it was plenty sturdy but I was unsure of how the canvas would stand up to the elements as I didn't have room in the house and would have...

1.0 out of 5 stars it ripped
I had it for a few years but rarely used it. Started working with it again the past couple of weeks, and it ripped nearly in half one day after a few rounds. The fill got in my mouth. No good.

I actually found mine used on ebay for a fraction of this price but believe me the price on amazon is the best around expecially as it's NEW. My only other heavy bag experience was with a vinyl type cover (a friend let me borrow it) and it was plenty sturdy but I was unsure of how the canvas would stand up to the elements as I didn't have room in the house and would have to keep mine outside (I cover it with a tarp so it doesn't get wet). Well over 1 year later my Everlast 70# canvas bag is just as strong as the first day I got it! If you have doubts, let them end here and take the plunge, you'll be glad you did.

4.0 out of 5 stars great ... till it broke, December 17, 2007
This review is from: Canvas Boxing Bag 70 lbs. (EA) (Misc.)
it was really nice, solid and cushony to punch for a while, but one day my dad punched it (so he says, i think he may have taken a knife to it from the look of the wound) and there was a long scissor thin gash near the seam.

Also, the canvas is VERY rough, so make sure you have gloves. you WILL rip youre knuckes up without gloves. the canvas was quite sturdy though, except... well i dont really believe what my dad said about he 'punched it'

he probably got frustrated and attacked it somehow.
