This review is from: Canvas and Upholstery Projects for Boats and Rvs (Paperback)
This is a basic how-to book on the most common needs found on boats and R/Vs written in the mid-eighties. The good news is that not a lot has changed in sewing machines, upholstry or sewing techniques so most of what Jack Wiley has to say is still right on target. There's enough information in here to get you up and running, and then develop your skills as you go along.

What has changed is the materials and how you go about purchasing them. Acrylics and other synthetic materials, basting tape, the internet...just a few of the things that have changed how these projects are done in the last quarter century since the book was written. The pictures in the book are kind of interesting as well - at my age I recognize a lot of the background and the now-classic automobiles and boats.

A great companion book to the instruction manuals because it has actual applications. Our public library index shows two copies, both "missing"...it's a useful book even today and well worth the purchase price.
