More About the Author

"Le Veque writes... winning epics...." - Publisher's Weekly

"The epic Medieval Romance is back - thanks to Kathryn Le Veque!" - Claire Delacroix, NYT Bestselling author

"This author... genius...!" - Ind'Tale Magazine

KATHRYN LE VEQUE is a USA TODAY Bestselling author, an Amazon All-Star author, and a #1 bestselling, award-winning, multi-published author in Medieval Historical Romance and Historical Fiction. She has been featured in the NEW YORK TIMES and on USA TODAY's HEA blog. In March 2015, Kathryn was the featured cover story for the March issue of InD'Tale Magazine, the premier Indie author magazine. She is also a quadruple nominee (a record!) for the prestigious RONE awards for 2015. Her bestselling novel, THE WOLFE, is also a semi finalist for the 2015 Kindle Book Reviews award for Best Romance.

In October 2014, Kathryn was the 31st MOST READ author on Amazon. She is extremely prolific with over 50 published novels and 37 #1 Hot New Releases in Medieval Historical Romance since May 2012. When new readers see how many novels she has published, the inevitable question is...

"She writes so many novels! Are they any good?" The answer is... YES!!

Welcome to Medieval England - hard-core, battle-scarred, power-driven alpha knights of the highest Norman order and the women who love them. Like High Middle Ages action and romance? Welcome to the Le Veque Medieval Machine.

Kathryn's Medieval Historicals have been called 'detailed', 'highly romantic', and 'character-rich'. She crafts great adventures of love, battles, passion, and romance in the High Middle Ages. More than that, she writes for both women AND men - an unusual crossover for a romance author - and Kathryn has many male readers who enjoy her stories because of the male perspective, the action, and the adventure.

Kathlyn and Marcus are a great couple, trying to raise their children as best as they can. How they managed to do this with all of their professional responsiblities is just amazing. I can imagine how exhausting it must have been for them to keep up with their schedule! They do love each other, and fortunately their disagreement in one part of this story didn't last very long.

I felt sorry for them when they were audited. Anyone can see how honorable they were professionally, and for them to be slandered or blackmailed was just awful. I'm so glad in the end it worked out for them. I cannot wait to read book #4. How can Ms. LeVeque top Books 1, 2, and 3 are beyond me - she's an amazing author!

I loved this book so much that half way through I purchased the other two in the series, knowing that they will be equally good. If you enjoy plots like Indian Jones and Romancing the Stone then this book is for you. Canyon of the Sphinx is jam packed with adventure, intrigue, history, and romance... All delivered with great characterization and smart writing. Kathlyn and Marcus are being audited by their respective universities for their expenditures at their Egyption dig. Kathlyn is summoned by her employer to help an archeologist in South America. Both happenings spawn a series of events that takes the reader for a Rollercoaster ride. Never a dull moment. This is my first by the author and was amazed by the storytelling- Plus I did not have to read the first two in the series to get everything (although it probably helps). Highly recommend if you like BOTH romance and adventure. I don't give five star reviews easily.

Ms. Kathryn Le Veque has written another terrific book! Out of all the Kathlyn Trent/Marcus Burton books this is the one I like the best! For me the hero Marcus Burton has always been a hard person to like but as I read more about him I am beginning to see him in a much different light and grow as a character. It might have something to do with Kathlyn the heroine but I can’t wait to read more about them!
The story starts off in 2151 B.C. with people being killed in the Yucatan Peninsula. Back in present day Egypt, Kathlyn our favorite biblical archeologist hears from a Dr. Christopher Murphy to go to the Yucatan on another adventure while in present day Egypt with her world famous Egyptologist husband Marcus. Before leaving for the Yucatan she meets a pretty looking woman named Jensen Elder who seems nice to everyone but there is more to her than meets the eye. So Kathlyn leaves Marcus for the Yucatan who isn’t too happy about it. While there she meets a Dr. Christopher Murphy or Chris who become infatuated and smitten with her but Kathlyn is true to Marcus. Lots of ventures and misadventures await Kathlyn while there. Kathlyn discovers a curious sphinx and almost dies after getting bit by a poisonous snake. So she gets good medical care with Marcus leaving everything to take care of her. After Kathlyn recovers from a near death experience and to spend time with her family Marcus realizes how much he loves her and trusts her a little bit better despite Chris’s infatuation. Things seem all right for Kathlyn and Marcus but things are not as good as they seem due to the fact that while this is all going on Jensen Elder is causing legal problems for them with Kathlyn’s brother help their legal problems are somewhat resolved.

More please... I happened upon these novels and fell in love with them.. excellent characters, prepare for a rollercoaster ride that will keep one awake until the small wee hours.. followed by a sense of dissapointment that the story has come to an end... and anticipation for their next adventure.. *****

I just finished book 3, Canyon of the Sphinx, of the Kathlyn Trent/Marcus Burton Adventure series by the fabulously gifted Kathryn Le Veque....and wanted to share with other readers my joy of this series. I feel like I am in an Indiana Jones movie or watching Brendan Fraser's The Mummy series....lots of action, adventure, legends and myths brought to life and romance and betrayal...and all sorts of goodies to keep you glued to each and every page....I went to the author's website and saw that the first three of this series are numbered to end with book 7, so I will keep my anticipation alive by hoping the next one will be out shortly. I highly recommend these books to all who love adventure, romance, action and the lure of myths being realized into fact. Fantastic!!!!!

I am addicted to Kathryn Le Veque's books. The historicals are great . This one though is an adventure set in present day. Its the 3rd in the series but if you haven't read the others(why not) you can still enjoy this one. The heroes are archaeologists of the Indiana Jones style. So there is lots of adventure and an incredible love story. I was crying halfway through. The pace of the book is so fast you can't find a space to put it down to sleep. You want to read non stop. I find the myths and legends fascinating they sound so realistic it makes me want to be an archaeologist. I just hope there are more to come. Please Kathryn can we have some more.
