Both volumes I and II contain themed oriented songs that are catchy and enjoyable for children. As a teacher of Italian to toddlers and preschoolers I have seen the success attributed to these songs. I have revolved lessons around them and have children coming back singing all the songs by memory. There are very few resources out there in Italian for children. Canzoni per Bambini I & II are smartly composed and sung beautifully by Mrs. Tennyson and complimented with children singing in Italian.

My 20 month old son loves this CD. The tunes are catchy and the lyrics are perfect for toddlers/young children. I am an Italian-speaking parent living in Australia and I am keen to bring up my son bilingually. Public libraries have limited Italian resources and foreign language bookshops charge a fortune for Italian materials. This CD is educational, fun and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it.

My grandson's eyes light up whenever I push the "play" button! I am trying to teach him Italian and these songs are such a delightful tool. I first purchased Vol. 1 and then had to have Vol. 2. They are just as they purport to be: "a joy for little hearts and little lives!" and for a grateful Nonna.

This audio cd is exactly what I wanted for my 3 month old to start familiarizing him with Italian. The Italian is simple enough to understand if you've taken a lesson or two in Italian, and the rhythm upbeat and happy. We listen to this album at least once a day during playtime, bedtime, or in the car. I purchased the mp3 version of vol 1 & 2 via direct download.

I bought both CDs, Canzoni Per Bambini, Volume I and Vol. 2-Canzoni Per Bambini, and love listening to them. The tunes are gentle and catchy because of the lovely use of classical instruments and the combination of cute children and adult voices. I play the songs every day while commuting to work, trying to pick up Italian through music, so it is great that the songs cover different topics like the alphabet, vowels, greetings, numbers, animals, colours, foods, modes of transport, seasons, days of the week, months of the week, professions etc. There are other subjects still to be discovered as I slowly translate the rest of the songs to find their meaning, well after I've memorised the beautiful tunes by heart of course.

This is a great CD for those who are trying to teach their children another language (Italian) or for those who are native speakers. It has fun songs like ABC's in Italian, etc. My daughter really likes it.

Both of my grandchildren love this CD. It is played often as it is requested by both.

This is a really nice CD. The songs all cover simple ideas, great for toddlers. The music is nice and the kids voices are cute (not annoying). But while I give this one an A-, volume II is definitely an A++. It is incredible!!

I recently downloaded this from Amazon and I am less than impressed. The songs are far from engaging and the music is bland and too soft. Honestly, most of the songs are quite uninteresting for me and my 16 month old son. Italian is a musical language, there is just no excuse for this not being a much better CD. All in all, I like it better than "Teach Me... Italian", but it is not in the same ballpark as "Baby's First Words in Italian." My son has listened to Baby's First over and over again, but this CD bores him. Overall, I'd recommend passing on this.
