Excellent curl bar with handsome chrome finish and knurled hand grips. The solid steel curl bar is heavy duty and has a compact length of about 4'(48"). Also, 2" diameter collars are included in the price, however I recommend 'spring collars' instead of the 'ring collars' so as not to damage the chrome plating. The 4' length allows you to add a substantial amount of 2" weight plates yet doesn't take up much space in your work-out center or gymnasium. Yes, there IS a substantial difference in a curl bar(versus a straight bar for enhanced bicep development) and I am very pleased and I highly recommend this to complement your other exercise equipment! Overall a great bar at a great price with super-fast shipping, thank you Amazon!

I received my order in a timely manner. The product was well-made and solid. I would have preferred a differnet style of collars that came with the curl bar. They were difficult to manipulate as far as getting them on and off quickly. I purchased easy on and off spring load collars. I would recommend the product.

This is just a cheap curl barl - which is all I was shopping for at the time. It does not have the smoothest rotating sleeves, but is definitely adequate.

This is something that I will eventually pass down the family lineage, that's how impressive the build is on this thing. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to build muscle!

I was expecting a different curl bar. I should have looked into it better. It works fine and I use it, however, I wanted a curl bar that is more like the one I use at the gym. This one is a little less curved.

The angles on this bar are very subtle and may not be what you're expecting in a curling bar. Amazon, as usual, packages it's items poorly and this item arrived in damaged packaging. If I could do it again, I would have ordered the Apex Bar with more distinct angles.

I gave this product 3 stars because it works as it should, but the two stars have been taken off because of Amazon's terrible customer service on this specific item alone. Never had an issue with any other product like I have had with this one. I was at first sent the wrong item (they sent me the standard curl bar, not olympic) so I returned it back and of course Amazon wasn't in any hurry to send it out 2 day shipping, they choose the economic shipping on their mistake. So I have to wait another full week to receive my item, only to now find out that Amazon for some reason can't package everything correctly when it comes to curl bars. It states your supposed to get two collars with the bar, I received only one. And with the one I received, there wasn't even a pin for it to hold it on the bar. So I have this one collar that can't even do anything with the bar. Thanks Amazon, I'm sure glad I thought outside the box and purchased Lock Jaw Collars a couple of weeks ago.

So beware on Amazon making mistakes on this particular item. I've done business with them many times and this is the first really bad screw up I have encountered. It might be worth it just to go to your local sports store and buy the bar instead of dealing with all the hassle I had.

The package was delivered by UPS the first time with an end of the package completely ripped open with nothing inside. Who knew UPS will deliver an empty package. Amazon quickly redelivered but second time, the tube that the package was in was ripped in half and barely intact by the tape surrounding it. Needless to say, the collars were missing.

The bar itself was a disappointment for many reasons. First, instead of having a curvature where one will grip the bar, it is pretty straight with about 10 degrees curvature. If you already have an olympic barbell or a straight curl bar, there really is no reason to get this. Second, the sleeves are very loose and wobbly. I had to go to homedepot and get a 10mm hex wrench and tighten the bolts. Even after tightening, it was still very loose and the weights spins like crazy especially when using 35lb plates. It was designed that way but it just doesn't feel secure at higher weights and freely rotating sleeves are not a good thing. Third, the bar seems somewhat short and of poor quality. It basically feels like a cheap one inch curl bar with an olympic adapter. Definitely not a solid gym quality curl bar that I am accustomed to.

A good solid bar - 15.5 lbs w/included collars on. Sleeves rotate freely, collars secure nicely, knurling is comfy. Happy I bought it.

This is a nice bar for a decent price. I will warn you, purchase an extra set of the spring collars. Luckily I did on a whim and I'm lucky I did because one of the collars that came with it was all moody and never wants to go onto the bar.

I suppose it happens. Spring for the extra collars, they aren't expensive anyway.
