I bought this piece of equipment based on my own study of this type of equipment and a bang for your buck attitude. I cannot say I am unhappy at all. I weigh around 200 pounds. I recived the apparatus and took it home. I also bought a 4x8 rubber mat for it. It was very easy to assemble and I had already looked at the engineering of it so I knew it would be stable...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice equipment for the price
I spent quite a few hours researching pullup/VKR stands and this one seemed to rate the highest among the dozen or so I looked at. My requirements were simple, I wanted a pullup stand with a VKR that could support at least 300lbs. Price was good, purchase on amazon for $150 with shipping included.

I use it all the time. The dip arms could have been engineered so they would not move at all but I have it tightened up and it really isnt an issue. I would have raised the back pad and made the arms about one or two inches longer but it works fine for me. I would recommend this item for anyone up to about 220 pounds but not much more. I have a dip belt which I use to do pullups and I have put about 70 pounds on the belt and done pullups with no problems whatsoever. I am very pleased with it especially at the price. Thank You for asking.
I have used every aspect of it and it is a solid viable home workout item for people wishing to have something when they cannot get to the gym. The execises done with it are very important to all around strength in performance atheletes. So get off your butts and buy this people and quit fooling yourselves that pullups, dips, crunches and pushups are not needed to win in todays competitions of virtually every physical sport.

You definitely get your money's worth with this piece of equipment. Assembly took about an hour, no issues. Nice and sturdy, supports my 250lb body with very little wobble. I only have a few complaints, first it is not 86" inches high like it says in the description, by my measurement it was only about 82". I am very tall, so those extra inches were important to me. The dip bars are also very wide. If you can do 15-20 dips, you may find you can only do 5-8 on this gear due to the width of the dip handles. That was not so important to me because it was not what I bought it for, but hopefully that info helps someone else.
Other than that, I have zero complaints. I use it just about every day for pullups and VKR's. If you are a heavier person, pushing the 250lb. capacity on most pieces of similar gear, this may be the one for you since it has a 300lb. capacity. If you are much lighter, you be better of with something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT!, December 28, 2007
Far more heavy duty than I thought, or what it appears to show in the photo. A good deal!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value, October 3, 2009

This is without a doubt the best power tower you can get unless you buy a commercial grade product. The price is low but the quality is high. I find each of the "stations" very useful. I do wish the pull up bar was about a foot higher, I am 6'3", but then it would hit my ceiling. Not really an issue though. I just bend at my knees. It was easy for me to put together. Use the provided allen wrench and a 17mm socket or wrench and that's all you need.

I actually bought this tower at Play it Again Sports brand new in the box, for 149.00. It is a good deal for the price. I'm 215lbs and it is stable enough for me. I use a weighted belt with a 45lb. plate attached and it is still stable. I recommend it to anyone looking for stability and bargain!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great experience with this company, March 21, 2008

The product is very sturdy and well made. I received it within a few days of ordering (wahoo!). I accidently received two left hand rails instead of a left and a right and some parts were a little scratched from shipping. I emailed the company and within no time they sent me proper replacement parts in pristine condition. I love this piece of equipment and would highly recommend this company. Errors happen, but companies who are quick and good to fix the errors are rare and they stood behind their product. Kudos to them and their fine products!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Product -- Horrible Experience, June 3, 2010

I would like to share my experience with this product. I received the package in about 5 different pieces. The only thing that was holding the box together was plastic straps. It looked like someone had torn the box to shreds before they sent it. Parts were hanging out of the side and scratched, and it was also missing parts. I contacted them as advised in the instructions (almost as this is a regular problem) in an email. They responded a few days later and said they would get the parts out when I provided my information. Well, I sent a reply to customer service with my address and never heard back. So I waited for about 3 weeks to see if they would show up. Nothing. I emailed again, I was then sent a tracking number from 3 weeks earlier that comes back "left at door". Now, this might not be their fault, but wouldn't it have been better if I had received the tracking number? If I was expecting this package earlier, I could have been aware of the problems sooner than a month later. Needless to say, I have given up trying to get the parts (foam rollers) and will make due.

This product overall is a good piece of equipment. It is very sturdy and I weigh 225lbs. Besides having to drill out a couple of the holes during assembly, it went together relatively easy. Took approximately 2 hours for myself to complete. I like the product, I have just had an awful customer service experience. I am not trying to dissuade you from ordering, just be aware that it might contain a few headaches with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Satisfied, September 15, 2007
I am satisfied with this purchase. I bought this product because it advertised a 350 lb max user weight capacity. I'm 6'7 320lbs so sturdiness is very important to me. The dip bar is too narrow for me to use however I really only purchased it for the leg raise function. The assembly instructions aren't very good which makes putting the machine together a bit of a pain. With all of that said I am happy with the finished product, it is very sturdy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, May 16, 2010

Excellent Product. But Manual is a bit confusing(the screws and nuts). But common sense will tell you how to set it up (All brawn, no brain to whoever wrote the manual).

A tip, Count all the screws, nuts, washers, every accessories provided. Then separate them and named each piece the number as the manual. That way might save you time.

Another tip. Is that when setting up the stand, make sure you don't lock the nuts tightly. Also, use the washers provided. After all is set, then screw all the nuts tightly. Otherwise, you will have a hard time setting it up, specially the pull-up bar.

The machine does wabble a bit, but is not that serious. I'm 5'4" and weigh roughly 160 lbs. Now, I'm feeling like, I want to do more exercise. It's a wonderful machine the only machine that I'm missing is a walker =(. Perhaps I'll go jogging in my college campus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Basic, functional, sturdy, April 25, 2010

I bought this several weeks ago primarily for the pull up bar. At 6'3" I'm too tall for the doorway bars and wanted a freestanding apparatus. The first one never made it to my door -- apparently the carton was too mangled for UPS to even attempt delivery from the local distribution warehouse. Amazon customer service was excellent. They promptly checked with the manufacturer and reordered it with me on hold. I received it in only a couple of days.
Assembly was challenging, allow about 90 minutes and DO use a ratcheting socket wrench to do final tightening (instructions, such as they are, don't mention tools). Yes, it does lean towards the pull up bar side at about 10 degrees. Better pictures or diagrams would be very welcome. After a while I realized that the bolt description numbers referred to their lengths in millimeters, which made it easier. I had all of the parts but some post-mortems claimed they were shorted.
It is sturdy and my 210 lbs. doesn't scare it during pull ups. The dip apparatus is equally sound. My wife found a tear in one of the forearm pads, which clearly shouldn't occur for the money paid, but it's cosmetic only.
Warning: be prepared for a heavy, unwieldy box. Unless the little woman is built like a linebacker don't expect her to move it. Luckily, the plastic straps that bind it are sturdy enough to pick it up with, although my second container was mashed significantly, too, so the UPS people clearly struggled to move it "carefully". Xodus needs to upgrade their shipping container and packing method.
