I bought this as a spare for my G10 but I also played safe by buying a spare Canon battery as well. The Power 2000 works as well as the EXTREMELY expensive Canon NB-7L. Only time will tell if it continues to function as well as the original battery. But when the savings are considered, it would still be a bargain.

Very nice. Is the generic for Canons battery for the G-10. I bought a couple of them and have had no problems. These are much less expensive than Canons at the time I bought them. They work in the Canon charger too.

Not sure what the person who gave 1 star was looking for. The battery is sold at a low price and I have no issue with the battery so far. Unless it starts breaking down, I don't see it as an issue.

I agree with the other reviewers that the battery is every bit as good as the OEM Canon battery or better. Even the battery life seems to last a bit longer than the original Canon battery that came with my camera. My original NB-7L has a stated capacity of 1050mAh and this battery is spec'd at 1500mAh, so it's no surprise to me that it seems to be lasting longer.

It fits in the camera without any issues (I honestly can't tell the batteries apart other than the printing on the case) and likewise it charges using the original OEM Canon charger.

I would definitely recommend this battery. The best part is you end up saving a lot of money over the Canon branded battery.

This battery is EVERY BIT AS GOOD as the brand name canon batteries... I took a ton of pictures (with long exposures, which usually drains the battery really quickly) with no problems.

If you get the official Canon battery you're paying for the printing on the plastic case - - this battery is legit. I was highly impressed.

Bought two for my G-10. Every bit as good as the Canon Battery at significantly less cost. After a year of very heavy use, they are still going strong.
Just bought two more to augment my new G11.

This battery does not hold a charge for very long. Lasts for only a few minutes of use. Waste of money. BUT, not everyone ordering this item will get the same battery. Generally speaking, generic brand items like this are produced by many different companies so you could get different qualities. Or, the quality my vary from batch to batch within the same company. And there are several sellers selling this item, and I'm sure they don't all have the exact same brand. Also, the battery I received is labeled as 1200mah, while the product description says 1300mah. You never really know what you're going to get. But in looking at the reviews, there seems to be about a 3:1 chance you will get a good battery. Good luck if you decide to go for it.

Btw, I purchased mine from the seller "super deal" who is not currently selling this item. I still need a spare battery and they ARE cheaper than they were last year when I purchased mine (I paid $10). I just might roll the dice again and make another purchase. Hmmm... should I go for it???

I've used this battery for 4 months so far... Actually I don't see any difference with the performance of the original one... This is a great product!!

I ordered Two Power 2000 replacement batteries for a new Canon G10, expecting to get 1300 mAh batteries and received two 1500 mAh batteries. I installed both right out of the package and they showed full charge in the camera. I charged both and each took about an hour to fully charge. The order came in two days without special shipping. These came from TheMemStore in Estacada, OR. They look like very good batteries and came in professionally sealed packages.The Power 2000 part number is ACD-295.
These batteries are an exceptional deal at $10.98 each.
