I bought this as a replacement for my factory HP laptop battery, but it isn't. The battery I had was an 8 cell, this one is only 6. I tried to return it, but got no response from the supplier. So I've been using it, but it doesn't last anywhere near as long as the original. Buyer beware.

I have purchased multiples of these items for replacing batteries in our school's laptops on two separate occasions. Shortly after the warranty was up I had 40% (4 out of 10) either MELT or simply die and were unable to hold a charge.

Purchased via Brilliant Store, Inc Fremont CA. These people treated me well, I recommend them for great customer service.
This battery does not work in 2 HP Compaq nx7400 laptops. Laptop is in the replacement approved list. This is the 3rd battery I tried in these 2 laptops, none of them worked, unable to charge. Original batteries would recharge fine, only would run on battery only for 10 min. HP must be giving the wrong specs out to third party battery mfgs. Brilliant did quick RMA turnaround compared to the 2 other companies that I had purchased from.
