Three Great Games
'Dead Rising' game logo
Dead Rising is a single player, action horror game that follows the harrowing tale of Frank West, an overly zealous freelance photojournalist in pursuit of the story of a lifetime. That's just what he finds, as well as a small suburban town completely overrun by zombies. He seeks refuge in the local shopping mall, but soon learns it is far from the safe haven he had thought. Dead Rising takes place over 72 hours, during which Frank must unravel the mystery behind the catastrophe and survive the dangerous swarm of enemies that lie in wait.

Released in 2006, the unprecedented level of freedom found in Dead Rising provides players with a vast array of gameplay possibilities to do anything and everything they've wanted to do in a mall. Hundreds of unique objects can be used as weapons to fend off the hordes of zombies - everything from golf clubs and baseball bats to cash registers and stuffed animals. The game is Xbox LIVE aware, as well as features in-game Dolby Digital sound and HDTV 720p.

Key Features

  • Huge Environments – Expansive indoor and outdoor areas of the mall provide a variety of different locations to explore.
  • Swarm Technology - Allows an unprecedented amount of enemies on screen at once resulting in nonstop, pulse-pounding action.
  • Intense Gore and Vibrant Realism.
  • Anything in the Mall is at Frank's Disposal:
    • Move environmental objects like table umbrellas or mall benches.
    • Snatch items from different stores to use as weapons, including golf clubs, lawnmowers, fry pans and more.
    • Chow down on various "mall food" to revive health.
  • Real Time System – In Dead Rising key story elements happen at certain times whether Frank is on the spot or not which means that players won't miss any important events or opportunities.
  • Use Frank's Photojournalistic Skills - Capture the insanity on film; the better the shot, the better the reward will be.
  • NPC's - Help players navigate through the zombie-infested mall.
  • Solve the Mystery - Why has the entire town has turned into the undead?
'Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition' game logo
In Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition human snow pirates pilot Vital Suits (VS) through hostile, alien, ice-covered environments in a do-or-die campaign against the indigenous Akrid creatures for the precious thermal energy they need to survive. For one such pilot named Wayne, death almost seemed imminent until he was fortunately rescued. However, he can only remember a few fragments of his past, including the slaying of his father by the monstrous beings. Yet under the veil of ice, a devious plan has been set into motion for the termination of all Akrid and snow pirates alike. What really happened to Wayne? Who is plotting the destructive scheme? Join Wayne as he encounters valuable allies and dangerous enemies in his search for the truth.

Released in mid-2008, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition was one of the first games to allow cross-platform connectivity between Xbox LIVE and Games for Windows – LIVE, allowing console and Windows-based PC users to battle it out on the same online battlefield. Packed with new local single player and online game modes not seen in the original release, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition extends the action of the original game release on the Xbox 360 for both new and longtime fans of the Lost Planet alike.

'Devil May Cry 4' game logo
Devil May Cry 4 is a single player action tour du force that immerses gamers in the gothic supernatural world of the Devil May Cry game universe, where a new protagonist, Nero, clashes with Dante, the featured character of the previous games in that series. As Nero, players will unleash incredible attacks and nonstop combos using a unique new gameplay mechanic, his powerful "Devil Bringer" arm. Fans of Dante won’t be disappointed as he too will be playable during the course of the game. With the advanced graphics of the current game systems, high definition visuals and intricate detail come to life as players explore new and exotic locales. Dynamic action and undeniable style combine with unprecedented fighting options and a gripping story to produce the incomparable experience that only a Devil May Cry game can deliver.

Released in early-2008, Devil May Cry 4 is the fourth game released in the hack and slash Devil May Cry series. It is the first game in its franchise to be released on Next-Gen consoles, and continuing with the series' fascination with prequels, its storyline is set between those of the earlier Devil May Cry and Devil May Cry 2.

Key Features

  • Exceed System - This new system allows Nero to charge up his sword with a throttle effect, revving up to three levels with powerful attack options. The new active style change system for Dante allows him to switch styles and weapons on the fly, producing crazy combo possibilities.
  • Deep Combo System - A deep combo system not only provides for variety of action, but also rewards stylish dispatching of enemies.
  • Devil Bringer Arm - Develop your combat abilities throughout the game utilizing Nero's unique "Devil Bringer" arm.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great deal for $40 bucks. Must-buy if you've never played any of them., September 9, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Capcom Platinum Hits Triple Pack (Dead Rising / Lost Planet: Extreme Condition / Devil May Cry 4) (Video Game)
As the title says this is a bargain for $40, especially if you do not own or have never played any of these games. I had rented both Devil May Cry 4(Loved it, personally one of my favorite campaigns on the Xbox360), and Dead Rising (Only had it for a few days, I liked the few hours of gameplay I got in), and with a chance to purchase both of these games, along with Lost Planet, all brand new, for only $40... Too good to believe.

The triple pack comes with 3 seperate cases for each game, all seperatly wrapped in the NEW platinum hits cases. It came in a nice little cardboard box to stick the 3 games in, perfect for anyone looking to spice up their collection with something different. All three games are "long and difficult" games. DMC4 for example is considered one of the hardest games on the 360 to get all 1000G's for in achievements. This is perfect for someone just starting their collection of games.

5.0 out of 5 stars At This Price These Capcom Games Are A Steal, December 3, 2009

Siklootd (Santa Fe, NM) - See all my reviews
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Capcom Platinum Hits Triple Pack (Dead Rising / Lost Planet: Extreme Condition / Devil May Cry 4) (Video Game)
Looking to increase your Xbox 360 collection but are on a budget? That's where this Capcom triple pack comes into play. It includes the three biggest releases Capcom had during the early life of the Xbox 360. Dead Rising, Lost Planet, and Devil May Cry 4 are three of the best games Capcom has released on the console, and getting the three of them packaged together for this price is amazing.

Dead Rising is the critically acclaimed "free world" action game that places you inside a shopping center fighting for your life. The story focuses on cameraman Frank West. Frank has asked a friend of his to drop him off at a local mall in order to capture footage/pictures of the sudden outbreak that has occurred within their city of Willamette. He asks the pilot to allow him to investigate what is happening and why the army has sectioned off their town. Frank West requests to be picked up at the same location 72 hours later. Upon entering the mall, the player is greeted with several survivors who are in the process of sealing off the entrance doors in order to keep the "zombies" from entering. Immediately afterward, Frank begins on his quest to take pictures of the events, while at the same time rescue any survivors that may have been lost in the mall. In this game, anything and everything is a weapon. From gumball machines, stuffed animals, CDs, and electric guitars all the way to cash registers and hangers, anything that can be found in the environment can be picked up and used for defense against the enemy zombie hordes.

Lost Planet is a great shooter to add to your collection. In Lost Planet, you play as the hero Wayne who is assisting humanity with the colonization of planet E.D.N. III. Upon arriving on the planet, humanity is greeted by local monsters who inhabit the cold environments. What they discover is that upon killing each enemy they are capable of using their thermal energy in order to maintain their own equipment that is needed to allow them to brave the freezing temperatures of the desolate planet. The game makes players focus on both strategy and time since thermal energy is constantly draining and once the player is out of thermal energy death is inevitable. Great combat sequences are bountiful in this game, ranging from on-foot mechanics to giant mechsuits that are used to battle the local monsters. The game starts off simple but gets progressively more difficult with each level, and each boss fight is truly remarkable.

Devil May Cry 4 is one of the most fast paced, action packed games since Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma. With the introduction of Nero, Devil May Cry 4 builds upon the success of previous installments. Nero fights differently than Dante in almost everyway, making it a true thrill to try to master both characters. The game focuses more on story this time around, where as past iterations have been more mission based with almost no story or plot in the mix. The three games come packaged in a joint bundle, however each game is still individually wrapped in a separate game case in case you want to separate and organize the three games separately. These three games are all excellent and contain hours of gameplay that is sure to keep you entertained for weeks, if not months. Trying to receive all of the achievements in each of these three games will surely keep even the most hardcore gamer satisfied. At this low of a price you're better off buying this bundle than purchasing the three games separately. This is an excellent collection that every Xbox 360 owner should add to their library.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome price for 3 games!, January 27, 2010

For $37 that I paid no complaints from me!
Awesome price for 3 great games. If you happen to be like me and don't own any of these titles take advantage of this offer and you will be happy with your decision!
Gamespot rated these games at:
Dead Rising 8.4 rating, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition 8.1, Devil May Cry 4 8.0

So as you see not bad at all. Of course we all have our own taste in games and not always do I agree with Gamepot ratings either....
But in my opinion these games are worth the price.

Happy Gaming!
