Book Description

Penny Spring and Sir Toby Glendower Mystery October 19, 1988
When a mutilated corpse is found in a cranberry bog on the Dimola estate, Penelope Spring is summoned to the Cape by Zeb Grange, an old flame. But by the time she arrives, an attempt on Zeb's life has been made, leaving him in a coma. As Penny's suspicions gradually point to the wealthy Dimola clan, her colleague Toby Glendower begins to probe into the family's past in Italy.

There is another murder, and Penny resolves to set a trap for her prime suspect, using herself as bait. But what Toby uncovers sends him racing back, fearful that Penny is making a disastrous mistake—maybe her last.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great summer read!, May 14, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: The Cape Cod Caper: A Penny Spring and Sir Toby Glendower Mystery (Paperback)
Penny Spring, the main character in this humorous mystery describes herself as... 'five-foot-one, plumpish, and with a face like an intelligent monkey's'... and will endear herself to you from the very first page! The entire book is filled with this character's special brand of humor and is a delight to read. The murder mystery which takes place on Cape Cod is quite baffling and has many twists and turns. Penny Spring and her wonderfully lovable side-kick, Toby Glendower, save the day! Not a very long book, so it is a quick read for a rainy weekend, or a sunny day at the beach. You will truly love this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book, May 21, 2006
This review is from: The Cape Cod Caper: A Penny Spring and Sir Toby Glendower Mystery (Paperback)
I wasnt familiar with this author. I bought the book a few years ago and started it several times. I finally found time to read it in its entirety and once i got into it I was hooked. It was very very good. The end will surprise you and you of course toggle through the list of suspects. I will definately be buying more of her books.
