About the Author

Dana Eldridge is a thirteenth generation Cape Codder on both sides of his family. He has spent a lifetime on or near the waters of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. A marine biologist by education, he went on to teach commercial fishing to secondary students for twenty years. He now works part time for the Cape Cod National Seashore as an interpretive ranger, and writes a bi-weekly column for The Cape Codder Newspaper.
