I am a frequent visitor to Cape Cod (and I spent every summer of my childhood there), and first saw this author's work at art festivals on the Cape. The wide angle photos in "Cape Cod Wide" are beautiful. They cover a wide range of subjects throughout the Cape, including many that you'd expect (like harbors, bay scenes, cranberry bogs, and lighthouses) but many that you wouldn't expect (including my absolute favorites of the whole book -- the baseball fields of the Cape Cod minor league teams).

The book also includes a chapter on the history of panoramic photography with advice on equipment and techniques for shooting panoramic photos yourself. The historical section includes a few panoramics of Nantucket and Provincetown from the late 1800/early 1900s.

Great book, especially if you have some special interest in the Cape and/or panoramic photography.

I got this book as a gift and a wonderful gift it is. Cape Cod Wide is filled with panoramic photos of the beautiful Cape. I have been there many time and so many places were as familiar as old friends. I got to view some of my favorite places in a different season than I am used to seeing them in. Included is a technical commentary and index to the photos in the back of the book. The photos will calm you, delight you and make you want to book your next vacation.

I received this book from a good friend recently and find it terrific at two levels. First the panoramic images allow you to "enter" the scene as though you are actually there, something that a traditional picture never achieves.The images themselves are wonderfull, bringing back fond memories of vacationing as a child with my family and enjoying some of these same scenes. On a second level I appreciate the author's tutorial on panoramic photography, clear and concise giving me the confidence to experiment with this digital medium.

This was a gift to my daughter..She vacations in Cape Cod ech year. Making this a very enjoyable book for her.

What a great find! As a photography enthusiast and a life long Cape vacationer I found this book simply delightful! The pictures really capture the spirit of the Cape and I enjoyed artist's insight and notes at the end of the book. A great gift for Cape and photography lovers alike!
