About the Author
Mary McCarthy works as a professional freelance writer and television producer specializing in historic preservation. She has written feature articles for the Baltimore Sun, Philadelphia Inquirer, and other publications. In addition to serving as a Marketing and Public Relations consultant to the Chamber of Commerce of Frederick County, she also serves on the Frederick County Historic Preservation Commission and is a board member of the Frederick County Landmarks Foundation. Born in New Jersey, Ms. McCarthy grew up in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Western Maryland College in Westminster, Maryland, and currently resides in Frederick, Maryland with her husband Bob and daughters Sarah Grace and Molly Anne.

Cape May is a beautiful town in New Jersey that my family and I visit every summer. Every time I leave, I wish I could take a piece of Cape May home with me. Now that I have Mary McCarthy's book, I can visit as often as I like. The book really does capture the essence of Cape May. I highly reccommend buying the book.

I was so glad to finally find a book with beautiful photography of my favorite place. Anyone who loves Cape May will appreciate and love this high quality book. As a preservationist, I think it is great that this book includes historic quotes from other Cape May works that focus on the importance of this national landmark city. I definitely recommend it!
