I can't say enough positive about the Cape Cod Polishing Cloths. I used them to polish the shiny areas of my TAG Heuer and to do a final polish on the shiny areas of a vintage Zenith I am restoring.

A couple of warnings however:
1) The product does contain petroleum distillates, therefore you will want to avoid using it on a watch case because the seals can degrade, compromizing the water resistance. Perfect for the band however, or very carefully on the case using a Q-tip soaked in the CC "juice", then blotted, then avoid the seals as much as possible. Also, rinse everything soon afterwards.
2) CC cloths WILL remove gold plating - AVOID on plated surfaces altogether.

Take care!

I had a number of expensive watches, but I was wearing them less and less because the bands were looking worn. I tried to polish them with something around the house, but with mediocre results. I kept reading about the Cape Cod Polish on the Internet and gave it a shot. Brought all of my watches back to new condition by removing scratches and making the metal shine. Also worked great on my wife's jewelry.

The smell is pleasant. The polish is a little oily, so I use plastic gloves (not a big deal if you just want to use bare hands).

I use the pink, Cape Cod cloth to polish all around the watch and then a small Dremel with a polishing pad to really bring out the shine. I finish off with a stiff-bristle brush to get polish out of the nooks and crannies.

Highly recommended.

Upton Studios LLC, a Conservation company that specializes in the conservation and restoration of finishes of 19th century lighting devices has used this non abrasive, low residue cleaner for many years with excellent resultz. "It is a staple in my choice of polishing cloths," quote Diane Upton-Hagan, owner, and Conservator of lighting devices for over 20 years.
However, this polish is unsutable for ormolu and faux ormolu finishes. These finishes are meant to maintain a matt appearence and Cape Cod is so good that it will reduce the original finish to an unintended shine.

I had been looking for something to touch up my older stainless steel watches, and after reading a few suggest boards, I decided to try the cape cod cloth. I had tried a few other jewelry polishing clothes without a lot of luck. The first watch I tried it on was pretty beat up... small marks, scratches all over the band, and just generally dull. I can not say enough about what this cloth, in conjunction with a non-treated buffing cloth, did!!! It's like a whole new watch! The mirrored finish looks perfect again... no scrathes, swirls, etc... I highly recommend this for anyone that is trying to give mirrored stainless steel a second life.

Do you need to polish metal, jewelry, and watches? I would highly recommend it. I have used this cleaning cloth on a lot of products and it removes fine scratches with ease. It also makes stainless steel shine as if you just purchased it. You can use this product on fine jewelry and fine timepieces as well.

I purchased this with the expectation that it would remove really light surface scratches on a watch band. The watch is 2 weeks old and I wanted a product to polish it monthly to keep it looking new.

This cloth is infused with petroleum distillates so you need to be careful to keep it away from the watch case and seals. I used it on my polished stainless steel watch bracelet and it didn't really do anything to remove any of the very minuscule surface scratches. What it did do was make the watch band extremely shiny so you don't notice the scratches as much.

So in my experience, it will polish and make jewelry very shiny but doesn't remove any surface scratches. I guess I'll stick to my jeweler's rouge cloth for scratch removal.

I was so happy to rediscover this product, having used it years ago and never since having found anything as useful. So simple and convenient and works better than many creams/liquid especially for quick polish of a silver jewelry piece.

I bought this to polish my ecig mods. I have invested several hundred dollars in various mods, and tried many polishing cloths to keep the brass or copper shiny looking. Nothing worked until I got this. Highly recommend!
