not what I expected, January 31, 2009
I am not a ballet dancer, but I do ballet dance workouts for exercise. I wanted a ballet slipper to get more into the mood of the dance so I saw these ballet slippers. I thought they would be exactly as pictured online. How wrong I was. The elastic bands are not attached, they have to be sewn in and there is a string to pull to help close the slipper and make it snug but the string is very long and has to be cut. Maybe this is how ballet slippers are typically sold for perfect fit but that was not disclosed in the description. Worse thing of all, the shipping cost as much as the slippers did. I would never buy from this provider, I'm pretty sure it did not cost $14 to send, it came via USPS. I did not return it because that would cost me even more money.
