If these kids shoes don't go high enough for your child, order the Capezio E adult jazz shoe. Sometimes Amazon lists it as a women's shoe, but it is really unisex. My son has been wearing them for awhile for Hip Hop. They are listed as unisex on the Capezio website.

We just bought this shoe in the Toddler 10M size for my 3 yr old son to wear as he starts dance class this fall. While other slip-ons we tried on were almost impossible to get on, the Capezio slid on with ease and fit well. Toddler size 10M = a size 8-9 in street shoes. The Bodywrappers slip on jazz shoe was far less flexible and very difficult to get on as it is all leather on the bottom - the Capezio is stretchy all the way around the instep!

I ordered these jazz shoes for my grandson who recently started dance class. When they arrived I thought it was a joke. The shoes were half the size expected. They looked like infant shoes. Needless to say, we had to return them and now his mom is on a search for the proper fitting Jazz shoe. How were we to know that Capezio has their own shoe sizing?!! If a child living in America is a Size 3 shoe, I would think the dance shoe would also be a size 3? At the very least, the advertiser should state equivalents to avoid returns and disappointment.

These shoes were just right for my daughter. WE couldn't find them in our town and they are just as discribed and fit just right.

Got the shoes in record time, and very happy with them. Will definitely be buying off here again, and have recommended to other dancing mums.

My daughter would wear these all of the time if she could. Unfortunately they do wear way to fast if you use the for anything other than dance. They just feel comfortable to her.

We found these and blochs do much better than any other brand.

While almost everyone on this review board and friends have found they run a couple sizes small, for my very narrow daughter they are very close to size and fit her better than even shoes we buy in narrow.

Thanks to the reviewer with the 3-year-old son, I found the perfect dance shoe for my own 3-year-old son. His tap shoe is about an 8, and the local dance studio wanted about $12 more for this style (different brand). What a huge relief, because I was freaking out about buying shoes without trying them on first.
