not true to size,

This review is from: Capezio Girls 7-16 Microfiber Knit Transition Tight (Apparel)
My daughter is a size 10-12, these were supposed to fit up to a 16. She couldn't get them on alone, and with my help they were ridiculously tight. I gave them away to a size 6 child.

Not a Transition Tight,

I purchased these tights and the "professional mesh" transition tights for my 7 year old. Unlike the previous reviewer we do not have any issue with the fit. The problem is it's not a transition tight. If you zoom on the photo you'll see that it has an open foot not closed. There's no hole in the bottom of the foot to slide up the leg so the child can put their shoes on. The picture is accurate. I wished I had looked at it closer. It almost looks like a "patch" in the bottom of the foot area. On the back of the Capezio package they list all their tight styles and this is not even one of them. My daughter wanted to keep them because she's not picky. If you're looking for a true transition tight look elsewhere.
The professional transition tight seems to be heavier duty fabric which is good because she's quite rough with them. It has a seam down the back of the leg which much to my surprise fell right into place. I thought it would look crooked and sloppy, but it doesn't at all. The only comment I have is I ordered the pink color and it's not a soft ballet pink, but more like a coral pink. If it holds up better than her other tights I'll be happy. |
