4.0 out of 5 stars Stylish, easy to buckle, comfortable - but small
I like the look and feel (in a sitting position) of these shoes. However, once I stood up, my big toe(s) became cramped. I have not tried these at a dance yet, so I am not sure how comfortable they would be on the floor. After reading a lot of the reviews, I decided to go with my instincts instead and purchased these in my shoe size - lesson learned. I will plan to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not fit street shoe size.
The product claims to fit street shoe size. It definitely does not. Just like another reviewer says, you should order a half size up. I ordered it one day shipping with Amazon Prime and was excited to get it in time for my next dance class, but was very disappointed that the item did not fit as described. I've had it for less than 5 minutes and already have it boxed up...

I will plan to buy another pair at least 1/2 size higher next time. This style of shoe has always been a favorite of mine and unfortunately, my regular dance shoe store no longer stocks them. I was very happy to find them here on Amazon.com!

While if it fit correctly it seems like it would be comfortable, the construction looks very flimsy and cheap.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Comfortable, December 2, 2007
These shoes are great for the price. This specific shoe model is very comfortable, I would highly recommend them to anyone that is taking dance classes, as exercise or leisure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dance shoes, December 29, 2011

This is my second pair. The first I ordered my regular size and they were too small. This time I ordered a half size bigger and they feel better, still just a tad short. So if you order them make sure that you order a half size to a whole size bigger.

4.0 out of 5 stars Whole size larger is too large!, November 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I ordered these shoes a whole size larger than my street size, as suggested by other reviewers, and had to return them. They were too big. Personally, I'd recommend only a half size larger than your regular shoe size. The pair I ordered that did fit, are great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Ballroom Dancing Shoes from My New Shopping Paradise, October 20, 2011

I have very small, narrow feet and normally wear a size 6.5 in street shoes. However, I was very surprised to find that the size 6W fit me better than the 6.5M of the same shoe style. LESSON: Do NOT order your street shoe size with Capezio Jr. Footlights. The fact that Amazon makes returns very easy is a real boon. They have very helpful and courteous customer service representatives who call you right away if you request it. Amazon has become my new shopping paradise. Not only does it have a larger variety of merchandise to choose from, it spares me from the excruciating returns process I have had to deal with on ebay. The shoes I received today are comfortable and will do nicely for ballroom dancing classes. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because the leather could have been of better quality and the sizing more accurate.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too small!!!, September 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After reading the reviews, I ordered these a half a size larger than my street shoe size. After receiving them, I tried them on, and they were still too small! I wish they would change the listing to reflect how these actually fit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice fit and comfortable, August 1, 2011
The shoes fit good. True they may be a little bit snug at first, but they get lose once you wear them for a few hours. Great suede sole for non-slip and very comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helping You to Find Your Size!, August 8, 2011

Want to write a review to add so others don't waste money like I did returning shoes that don't fit.

Follow Capezio's Guideline that informs you that the shoe fits about one size smaller than street shoes. THIS IS EXACTLY TRUE, and ACCURATE FOR DANCE SHOES!!! Don't try to second-guess that, thinking you'll want more snug shoes or maybe a half size smaller is better.

Just order one size smaller than the rest of your shoes in the closet - period.

Lastly, DO NOT buy a couple of sizes and expect to return them on Amazon's dime. That was just silly on my part; I don't even KNOW what I was thinking! Maybe I wasn't :-)

Capezio is an excellent, flexible, but durable shoe! The suede sole is functional and perfect. I'm extremely picky about the things that I buy, especially for dancing, and I'll probably try to stick with Capezio from now on, because of the excellent quality and workmanship.
