Sizing terrible!,

My niece is extremely small (size 1-3) and the small is so small, it looks like it will fit a 7 year old! Make sure you buy big if you decide to buy these! When I got them back from my niece to return them, it was "past the return date". Don't know what I'm going to do with them now!

Purchasing clothing over the internet is always a challenge. My wife is definitely an "S" in athletic clothes but this is REALLY small. Nice quality but watch the sizing when you order.

I listened to the other reviews and instead of getting the 12/14 for my 8 year old daughter, I got the women's size XS and they FIT.. I can't imagine what the smaller would have been like! She is 8.5yrs old and 75lbs so there you go.

These Capezio shorts are made of quality fabric and are assembled well. However, the sizing info is off. The size chart says an XS (extra small) is equal to a size 2-4. Absolutely not! We bought the XS based on this information and they were really about a size 0-1. Had to reorder.

Like other reviewers, these run really small!! We just wanted them to go under skirts for my daughter. She is not a dancer. Average height and build but likes to be active at school so I prefer little shorts under her skirts. We had to return and go up a size so they would fit her. We also switched to blue for the white was too shear.

I tried these out as shorts to wear under my latin costume for ballroom dance. I can't say I've been terribly impressed. The fabric is rather stiff synthetic/spandex, which mean they don't breath well, and that they stretch unevenly at the hems, which makes lines under my costume. If you're looking for generic sportwear, that's fine, but if you're looking for shorts for dance, spend a couple extra dollars and go with the cotton/spandex blend, like Capezio's V-front boy shorts. Sizing is typical for dance wear (i.e., if you are between a small and a medium in regular clothes, order large), so order accordingly.
