I bought these in nude to protect my feet in a belly dance class. I do like them, they are not very noticeable on your feet, and they are sturdy and well made. However, they run very small. I usually wear a size 7, and I bought these in 8 1/2. They are still pretty snug. I might try a size 9 next time since I don't like pressure on the ends of my toes. The straps keep the shoe snugly on the foot. I have also washed them by hand a few times without any negative effects.

These are great jazz/modern shoes, but they definitely run true to size, which for me was unfortunate. I wear an 11 and usually get 10s which stretch and ultimately work out just fine, but these absolutely must be your actual size. I put on the 10 and couldn't even stand flat. I had to send them back, but if they were available in 11 I would have gotten them.

I bought those because they just look great, and have been wearing them for all my ballet classes. They are the best "demi-pointe" I ever tried. Order your actual size, and the fit will be perfect.

Previous review says that these ballet shoes were used for belly dance which is not toe dance. I wear 9 size and I'm going to use them for ballet classes, so I bought 9 size and they fit perfectly when standing on tiptoe. Very like these shoes.
