The sound is excellent.
I ordered 3 pairs and all had a defective right tap, the screws had to be tightened after every use. Amazon has the best return policy and after dealing with this 3 times, the rep. decided to have someone from the warehouse check a batch to see if all of the shoes had this problem. One more pair had this problem, but the others are fine, so I'm ordering another pair today.

I am in a beginning tap class and these have been good for the money. They are comfortable and the sizing is correct. You can tell that it isn't the highest quality sound compared to other shoes, but like I said, for a beginner they are great!
