5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for dance or exerciise!
I am a competative ballroom dancer who also does either Core Rhythms or Zumba 6 days a week. I live in these sneakers--I am on my third pair but considering the workout they get they are really tough! I have tried a few other brands but they are a little stiff, these are a little softer and more comfortable, they are great for exercise, rehersal, and practice. I just...

2.0 out of 5 stars I LOVED these shoes until the side ripped out in less than one year :/
These shoes are very comfortable with good arch support for Zumba. They are lightweight, rather than some of the clunkier dance shoes. I have LOVED them until this morning when I noticed the the entire right side is torn away from the sole. I use them for Zumba 3-4 times a week, but I've had them less than a year. If they hadn't torn, I'd give them a 5-star rating, but...

I just wish the judges would let me compete in them, my spins are a lot less wobbly that way.

5.0 out of 5 stars sizing info and other helpful info, June 6, 2010
It can be very difficult to order shoes online, however, this is especially true of dance shoes/sneakers. After exchanging 3 pairs of dance shoes purchased from an online store, I was forced to shop locally to get the right size and fit.

I finally bought the Capezio Canvas Dansneakers. Most dance shoes are not true street shoe size.

My street shoe size is a 6.5 and a 7 would have been fine, except that the right shoe rubbed a little and I didn't want to chance that, so I moved up to a 7.5. For most, a 1/2 size up should work.

The width of the Dansneaker runs true. These shoes are as light as a feather, comfortable as a cozy slipper, but offers suitable arch support and exceptional heel cushion/support. Most regular "Zumba" style shoes are really too clunky (IMHO) and a little too heavy for a serious dancer.

Dansneakers allow for spins and slides. The split sole is terrific for flexing and intricate dance moves (like standing on your toes!) The shoes are ADORABLE looking (the photo doesn't do them justice) Since these are practice shoes, they should only be worn inside.

4.0 out of 5 stars Plain looking, but does the trick, July 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When I received these shoes in the mail, I thought yuck. They are just plain white and look like old fashioned cheap tennis sneakers. And when I tried them on, I thought they felt so weird - a sneaker without arch support is an odd feeling. But I wore them to my zumba class, and loved them! I still think the lack of arches is weird, but it was so much easier to move around doing the dance moves in these sneakers, compared to regular sneakers! Especially lunges and machete step, they were a breeze! I do recommend them for dance classes...though maybe get the better looking (more expensive) version, I think it's called Fierce.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good shoe - not good for Zumba!, September 15, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This shoe is great and flexible (I have flat feet), however, I wouldn't recommend it for Zumba because the arch is really high. They are made of canvas material (think a recycle bag from the grocery store)... so they do get dirty very easily, especially the white color.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Zumba shoes, July 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
these shoes are excellent for Zumba classes, of which I take three a week. They are light and the soles allow easy lateral moves without torque on the knees - a major improvement over regular gym shoes. They offer little if any support, but that is not a drawback in a dance sneak...no one would wear it anywhere else, or for any other form of exercise, anyhow. the only drawback, and this may be unavoidable, is that my feet do slip during lunge stretches after class.

4.0 out of 5 stars Dance Sneaker, November 5, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a great, great dance sneaker! Turns and slides very well. A bit large for size; I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear in a sneaker; had to return it for 1/2 size smaller. It is exactly what I was looking for and a good dance shoe is a must - am an avid dancer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Capezio Dance shoe, January 28, 2012
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is my second pair of Capezio's. I am a avid Zumba fan 3-4 classes per week, these shoes offer great stability in maneuvering the dance steps and slides.

The shoes run a little small compared to street size, I wear and 8.5w so I ordered a 9 wearing a thin sock.

The shoes arrived timely and package appropriately.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great dances shoes, even for men, August 10, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have worn these shoes for the last decade. They are ideal for hard-surface dancing. You can slide and spin easily because of the shoe construction. You can also machine-wash these shoes. For men: refer to the sizing chart. I wear men's size 12, and that is size 14 in this shoe (the largest they make).
