These do not run true to size. As near as I can tell they run about two sizes small. I wear and 8M but ordered a 9M for comfort and they still felt like a 7N. I've read the same reviews on other sites (too late for me and now I have to pay return shipping...grrr).

These are one of my favorite ballet shoes ever! Capezio shoes are the best. These shoes in particular are very flattering to smaller and thinner feet, but they look amazing on everyone.

What you have to realize is that ballet shoes have a highly specialized fit. That means that you MUST follow the Capezio sizing guide. In my own and my ballet classes' experiences, if you follow the sizing guide the shoes will fit. Note, for ballet, you must keep your toenails short for your shoes to fit properly.

One final note. If you have not used split soles before, these might feel a little strange at first.

The only complaint I have is that like other reviewers, these shoes do run small. I typically wear a 7w; after reading reviews ordered an 8 and it is just the smallest bit too tight. I've read on Google that canvas shoes don't stretch much after "breaking them in"... therefore, I'll be purchasing a 8.5 next time. Otherwise, the shoe quality is great, I got them very promptly, and ran into no other problem.

these shoes are for my daughter. She is very particular about her shoes and really loves these. They feel comfortable, allow for a great point and all for a great price! I highly recommend

I bought these shoes for part of my halloween costume... I typically wear a 9.5 in regular shoes, but these run a bit smaller than I had hoped... the quality was decent for the price

I was a bit nervous buying ballet shoes for my daughter online, since we have always gotten her ballet shoes at Payless, but she (and I) couldn't be happier. I ordered the shoes 1/2 size larger than her street shoes size, and they fit perfectly. My daughter has 1.5 - 2.5 hours of ballet a week, and these shoes seem to be holding up well.

I wear an 8 or 8 1/2 street shoe, and this show was good length-wise to my foot. The only problem was in the width, so I ordered a 9W in the same color/style and that worked out much better for me. The pre-sewn elastics are very convenient -- I just safety-pinned mine for the first few dance rehearsals because I was short on time.
