3.0 out of 5 stars unique look, but poor fit
Like the look of this shoe, but fit was way off. Seem a couple sizes too small (in length) and a bit too tight.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely dance slipper for many purposes, December 2, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was expecting this shoe to be loose in the heel or have a sloppy fit, in spite of my having a rather wide foot. Excellent and generous cut for those with a medium width through both the base and toes. It has a beautiful arch shape, to boot! There is no strap to make the fit more snug, but you could easily stich an elastic strap, which I will do if these stretch in the future, as I would love to extend the life of this shoe! Am ordering a second pair! I am a street size 6.5 to 7, and an 8 was the "right" size to order.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice concept: poor execution, January 27, 2012
I really like the idea of these shoes. They offer full range of motion while protecting your feet like a regular ballet slipper. Before I bought these, I shopped around and read other reviews that warned that these run small, but I didn't experience this at all. In fact, I ended up returning two pairs and getting a pair that was half a size smaller than what I normally wear! Maybe I like snug slippers, but these were no more/less snug than my Sansha Pro 1C's.

The top part of the shoe where the drawstring normally would be is all elastic, plus there is an extra elastic band that goes around the back like a slingback shoe. I'm guessing it's there so the shoe won't slip off, but this didn't stop me from slipping out of the heel. Maybe this is why I ended up getting that smaller size...

For my foot, I really need the elastic tighter and I might in fact get out the sewing machine and shorten the elastic. It's a shame they're not adjustable but I can see why they did it: they really went for form over function with these shoes.

In terms of support, there are other slippers out there, both canvas and leather, that will offer more support. If arch support is what you're looking for, these are not for you. If you're all about pushing your arches to the max, then these might be for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Capezio Freeform Shoes -- Great Purchase!, September 11, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you're looking for a new pair of ballet or jazz shoes, these are a GREAT option! I just ordered and received mine, and I can already say that I love them. I typically wear a size 8.5 or 9 in a street shoe, so I ordered a 9 in the Freeform shoe, and they are snug (which is good). They're a great dance shoe!! Easy to move in, accentuate a good pointed foot, etc. Buy Capezio Freeforms!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoes!, August 22, 2011

These shoes are great! They take the shape of your feet and are extremely comfortable! And there are no laces so they're easy to slip on.

2.0 out of 5 stars :), May 17, 2011

Well I wish that they fit better. They are light weight. They do not look like the picture in person. They are flat and they want to curl up. In the picture they look solid.

4.0 out of 5 stars They could stay on better., February 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
They fit my narrow foot perfectly, but the heel always feels like it's slipping off (and going a size down wouldn't be long enough for my foot). Wearing socks seems to keep it on better, though; they haven't fallen off, only slightly inched down my heel. The only time the heel of the shoe continually completely came off was when I was wearing them with tights. They feel just like a ballet slipper, very light and flexible. They aren't my favorite shoe, because I'm always paranoid about the heel, but I would recommend them for someone who wants a jazz shoe that feels lighter with no hard heel.

1.0 out of 5 stars very bad, January 6, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It is very uncomfortable. And the real shoe is not like the picture. The reason i want to buy this is that the picture looks like nice. It is a little hurt when i try to walk and dance. Since i have viewed the comments before i know the size is a little bit small so i buy 6.5 instead of 6, however, it is still a little tight which let me not very comfortable. For this reason i do not think the price of this shoes is reasonable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Capezio Jazz Shoes, November 12, 2010

I first ordered this item using my usual size shoe; however, the shoe was VERY tight. So, I returned those and ordered a size bigger and they were snug at first, but they have since stretched out a little. Now, they sometimes slip off the back of my heel...so, I'm not sure if I just did not get the right size for me. I do like the shoes even despite the sizing.
