I ordered a wide, but it was still felt a little tight.

The shoes are very comparable to the much more expensive ones she usually buys at the dance store.

After reading some reviews about ballet flats in general being smaller and narrower than true size, I bought a pair of these in 7.5W (my street size is 7N), and they came exactly as described - size 7.5 (so I have room at the back), and so wide that I've had to really tighten the sides with the elastic. Not perfect as it bunches a little on the sides, but still a very comfortable fit and I'm able to dance in them. So my advice would be ideally to go to a dance shop to work out the perfect size for you, but if you're like me and can't get to one, to buy your true size in these particular slippers.

This shoes is a great and fits really well except it's not quite long enough. I wear the same size (8) in all shoes but this eight was a bit too tight in the toe area. However, it does fit and will stretch out with more use. But overall an excellent purchase for the price.

I needed some dance shoes for a bellydancing class I take. I did not wanted to do it bare foot on the gym's dirty floor. The class instructor recommended ballet shoes. I got these and after just one class they comformed to my foot shape really well. I'm a 7.5 medium to wide on street shoes, and 8 medium in gym shoes. I got a 7.5 wide in these shoes, and they were a match!!! The split sole makes them feel like I'm wearing nothing but still I get some protection for my feet because these are made out of leather. I got the pink ones. They look so cute on, and the pink color is very soft.

I just bought these for my 15 year old. She has been dancing since she was 3, and she likes this shoe. She prefers the split sole. She actually likes canvas better, but I got a great deal on these. Plus the leather looks better on stage. Canvas gets dirty, and it is harder to clean. She wears a size 7 street shoe. We bought the 7.5 in these, and they are a perfect fit.

You can't really go wrong with Capezio!

First, my street shoe size is 7, and I bought 7.5 for these ballet slippers. It was a little tight at the beginning and loosen to be comfortable after wearing for couple hours with active movements.

Very satisfied! I am an experienced dancer and know my need for shoes. This pair is certainly among the top tiers.

My younger daughter just measured in at size 5 women's. Other sites suggest adults buy street size and children order 2 sizes up. That just didn't make any sense now that she's in women's shoe sizes. Still I ordered 1/2 size larger. They came in today and are too small. We we took them to class to show her dance teacher. She agrees that this is a good snug fit for a foot that isn't growing, but for a still-growing girl, we need to order an additional full size up. So we are going with 6.5, which is 1.5 sizes larger than my daughter measures.

BTW, the elastics came fully sewn in the traditional crossover way. Saves time... but that was part of what felt tight too on the 1st pair ordered.

These were for my daughter. She is 15. She says they are great. The strap makes an X across the shoe which she likes. I would recommend this.

I have never worn ballet slippers and didn't know what to expect so i really had to rely on reviewers opinions to make my choice.
Most people said they fit the same as street size so i followed this advice. I'm normally between 8 - 8.5, so i opted for the 8.5 just to be safe. I didnt feel the need to go any bigger as most people swore by the fact that they fit true to size and they are leather and will naturally stretch but these fit WAY too small, no amount of stretching would ever get them too fit comfortably. Unfortunately i had to return them which is not as easy a matter from Canada as it is in the States, we dont get free shipping. So i had to spend a lot of time with a lovely customer service rep to resolve my issue in helping me find another style/size as the next size up for some reason was through a different distributor and would have cost more than the slipper was worth the send it across the border. I had to get 9.5 which ended up being slightly bigger than i would have liked, but it will do me better as i could actually wear this one as opposed to the 8.5. Also, i expected the quality to be a bit better but then again, like i said, i know nothing about ballet slippers. I found the material really sticks out on both sides around the middle of the foot which makes them appear sloppy, not streamlined and elegant as i expected, but i assume this is because they are still too big for me. I got them mainly for ballet inspired workouts but was also hoping i could wear them around the house to replace my other "ballet" house slippers, unfortunately because of how they fit/appear, that wont be the case. If you're between sizes i would definitely recommend to order the size up, possibly a whole size up.
