4.0 out of 5 stars You may want to order these 1/2 size larger...
These are killer cute shoes, beautiful and VERY flexible, and I can't wait to wear them - once I order the correct size!

Most of my dance shoes - ballet, character, tap, dance sneakers are by Capezio, and they make a consistently good product. However - Capezio is not consistent with their sizing. My street size is between a 6 and a 6.5 (closer to a six,...

I bought these shoes to wear to a wedding. When I recieved them, I immediately went to try them on and found them to be too narrow for me. I normally wear a size 11, but I would require an 11W in these shoes.

Most of my dance shoes - ballet, character, tap, dance sneakers are by Capezio, and they make a consistently good product. However - Capezio is not consistent with their sizing. My street size is between a 6 and a 6.5 (closer to a six, but I have long toes) - and normally, I wear a six in dance shoes.

I ordered the 6.5 in this shoe, and they were almost *perfect*, but my second toe hung just over the edge. So if you have long toes to begin with, and your second toe is longer than your big toe, you might consider ordering 1/2 size larger.

I would give these shoes five full stars, if it weren't for the sizing inconsistency.

I bought these shoes to wear to a wedding. When I recieved them, I immediately went to try them on and found them to be too narrow for me. I normally wear a size 11, but I would require an 11W in these shoes.

Also if you are looking for a comfortable pair of heels the footbed in the heel area should be almost flat, which would keep toes from being forced forward in the shoe and keep too much weight on the ball of the foot. These seemed to be too slanted to be comfortable, but again the shoe was too narrow so that may have played a part in the assessment of that area of the shoe as well.

Overall, these shoes are pretty and the heel seems sturdy while the velvety sole in front is great to allow you to slide around on the dance floor. Just be aware that you may need a slightly different size than you are used to wearing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Capezio Good Sandal, July 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
When I ordered this product I was really worried about the size. I reviewed all the customers comments trying to find out any useful one. After all, I ordered a 1/2 size more, then, when I receive the package, I realize that it was not necessary. My recomendation is: ask this product for your regular size.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, it's a good shoe, May 9, 2010

I wish there was a better description on the shoe by the seller because after reading previous reviews I ordered a shoe that has a wide toe area. After getting it, I saw that it wasn't needed and had to pay extra to get the correct size. Although the insole lining is comfortable, the high heel will take some getting used to. Doing dancing that involves a lot of jumping, flipping,or slidding on the floor is not an option. I learned that later on, lol. But this shoe is great for spinning, and easy to put on and take off. I've had it for 3 months now and so far the heel, though not as wide, is very strong.

2.0 out of 5 stars Returned, August 17, 2010

These are beautiful on and great color too, however they were painful the moment I put them on and felt a little higher than 2.5. I couldn't imagine dancing in them for a long period of time. I exchanged them for another Capezio style in leather--not as pretty, but defintely more comfortable. The return process with Amazon was great, however paying for shipping was the downside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish, well fitting, sexy dance sandals, August 28, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I loved these shoes and would have kept them but the 2.5 inch heel was just too high for my size 5 feet. They looked great, fit snugly around my feet and the easy-buckle feature is a must for any dancer. I simply cannot balance well enough with the heel height.
I wish they made this style in a 2 or 2.2 inch flared heel for people with smaller feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for sitting around watching TV (even better for dancing), June 22, 2010

Don't get me wrong, I am no couch potato, but I do enjoy a healthy dose of Real Housewives at least twice week. That's why I like to wear these professional dance shoes around my house! I would like to think that I use them for my regular bouts of salsa dancing, but let's be honest, I don't really go salsa dancing all that often. They are beautiful shoes and really comfortable for someone who never wears high heels thanks to that long-term ex-boyfriend that was an inch taller than me. They are true to size also, they are supposed to be snug or else you'll trip over your feet while you dance! They also look way better than in this strange picture they have here.

I'll let you know just as soon as I actually go dancing in them, but I think they are going to be great. It is certainly more fun studying in them and they work for making dinner and cleaning the bathroom too! It also doesn't hurt that I got them for $25 on amazon warehouse deals.

5.0 out of 5 stars beginner ballroom dancer review, May 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love the look, flexibility, and the way the shoes feel on the dance floor. I saw one review that said order a half size larger, but I ended up ordering my street shoe size and am happy with it. After my first hour of dancing in them though I knew they needed those little ball of the foot pads to keep me from being sore at the end of my lessons. What I love is that the strap wraps under the arch of the foot, I have pretty high arches and this with the flexible sole has allowed me to have the arch support from these shoes that I need. I like them, but I also don't have extensive experience to compare them too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shoe, but lacks padding!, December 9, 2010

Maude "Claire" (Baltimore, MD USA) - See all my reviews
I ordered these shoes for tango, and was really looking forward to wearing them for all of my classes. After two hours in my first class, however, the balls of my feet hurt so much that I had to stop dancing. This pair of shoes is well-made, fit my (somewhat) wide feet, have a very flexible sole, and were true to my street shoe size, but I needed more padding. I ended up purchasing a second pair of shoes for frequent use, but I'm looking forward to wearing these to special occasions with dancing.
