My 2yr old grandson loves his "letters". We make a game out of naming them and taking them out and then saying them again as we put them in. It is fun for him to be able to touch everything at this age and to do the puzzle, also. Really great. He already knows about 80% of the letters.

I received the lowercase Lauri puzzle as part of a homeschool curriculum I purchased. I was awe'd by the durability, and the size/thickness of the puzzle. Within 2 months of use, I decided the uppercase set was a must. So glad I purchased these! I use them with my 5 year old and my 3 year old.

They will also replace missing parts for life - score!

The puzzle is great for kids, 3-5. I feel if pieces were mouthed by younger kids, it may be a hazard. I also don't like the fact that the center of some letters like "A" have a pop out piece which could get lost. But I find the puzzle very functional.

We purchased this puzzle for our just turned two year-old who wants to know her ABC's like her big brother. She loves trying to take the letters out and put them back in although she does get frustrated with ones that are harder to get out like an "M" as opposed to an "O" that has a hole. As another reviewer mentioned, there are lots of little interior pieces for A, B, D, O, P, etc. but we just took those out and put them in a ziploc bag to save for later. Because the letters are foam they can be squished up or bitten into, but so far they are holding up well--even as they get used to make things like alphabet soup!

One of the surprise things we really like about this puzzle is working with my son on reading skills. We can remove the letters and make an ending with two of them like "AT" and then line up letters below like E, B, H, etc. for him to add to the ending and then sound out to make words.
Lastly, the picture card that comes with it is not bad, but it is only 2-color (red and black) and it would have been a lot more interesting if they had sprung for printing it in full color. Not a big deal just an improvement that would be nice. Overall, we are very happy with the puzzle and plan to add the lower case version at Christmas.

We got these for Pre-School for our 2,3 and 4 year olds. They love them and I love that Lauri replaces any missing foam pieces. I am sure that will come in handy. It would be nice if there werent so many of the little foam pieces for the middle of the B and A, etc. But, overall we love the product.
