5.0 out of 5 stars Who decides who we are?, August 26, 2004
This review is from: A Cappella: Mennonite Voices in Poetry (Paperback)
This book is a gift. For people with a sense of humor, it catches us at our most vulnerable. For people with a sense of history, it gives us perspective about the contemporary venture of faith traditions. For people who like accessible poetry that challenges their imagination, there's nothing mushy here or esoteric. The poems are about dirt, blood, food, the mysteries of love, the confusion of faith, the will of companionship, and the probe of identity: are we who we think we are or are we something more?
