I was going through a dry spell spiritually. I have not completed this study, but boy am I enjoying the journey so far, and I'm being quenched along the way. Even though our spirit seeks the Word, often our flesh will purpose to avoid it. If you need your flesh to be revived by your spirit, try this study and your hunger for the Word will naturally grow. You'll want so badly to read ahead, yet happily wait with anticipation of what is to come. Enjoy!!

The two newest Coffee Cup Series studies are great! As with the previous studies, they are user-friendly, insightful, and relevant to today's world. The series is designed to be studied in either group setting or as an individual study. I've given these studies to my 86-year-old mother who is home-bound with limited mobility due to Parkinson's disease. She loves the easy-to-use format of the books. The studies are light-weight, pages are easy to turn, and complete with entire Scripture passages so no juggling between book and Bible is needed.

Cappucino with Colossians leads the reader back to the New Testament to see Paul's letter through new perspectives. Again Glahn has used her research and knowledge of ancient history to bring to life Paul's message to the church in Colossae. If you're looking for the answer to "Who is Jesus Christ?", or if you want to better equip yourself to help answer that question for others, this is a great resource for you.

This is the fourth book in the Coffee Cup series that our Women's Bible study group has done, and everyone has been very pleased. It provides opportunities for learning the Word, as well as reflective questions to think about.

I really like the Coffee Cup series and the Colossians study is great. Our group took about an hour to review each weeks work. We followed a format where we each talked about what impacted us for the week of 'homework'. Most of us admitted we did the work in two or three nights instead of disciplining ourselves to do the work daily. I wrote down a number of 'dont forget' sentances in my book.

I have done Ruth and Philippians and preferred those to this one. It may just be where I'm at in my life however others in my group agreed. The Colossians study is maybe weighted slightly heavier in scripture review and theology and lighter in personal reflection and growth (which I find generates more discussion). If you know that in advance, as a leader you could prepare more discussion questions to generate good 'what do you think...' topics! To others, that will be appealing.

Regardless, this is still well worth the time invested. And Praise God for great Bible study authors. Keep up the good work Dr. Sandra Glahn, your depth of research shows in your studies.
