I was very happy with the Capresso Carafe that I ordered. My wife had broken my original pot and I was very glad to be back to my freshly ground coffee.

I have had so many broken and my last replacement did not last even a month! I use great care in washing it but the stinking lip is going to break anyway!!!! Fed up with Campresso!!!!

There's not much to say about this item, except it is the ONLY carafe that will work with your Capresso GS coffeemaker should you need a replacement. IMO, it's a tad pricey, but considering the options (none) I went and got this. It should also be noted that I couldn't find this @ any retail (brick & mortar) store; so I had to pay extra for expedited shipping.

One morning while I was rinsing out the carafe, while still on a caffiene high, the hyperness caused me to bang the carafe against the sink causing breakage. Naturally I could not admit to my wife that I was a clumsy oaf so I blamed it on my Dobie, Max. Fortunately, I was able to order exact replacements and they arrived in excellent condition. The top is removable with almost no effort making it easy to clean. In trying to allay my wife's skepticism about Max being the culprit I gently chastised him in her presence while showing him the replacement. She faked acceptance of my story. The replacement is an exact copy and the price is reasonable. It's all good.

I have really enjoyed the capresso grinder/ cofee makers and the customer service has been great whenever I needed something. Warraty service was quick and I am glad to find replacement parts less expensively here. several people in my family use these.

We love the coffee maker, but do not like the pot. The lid is attached to the base making it awkward to clean. Plus the lid swings away when pouring the end of the pot. I sent an email to the company but never heard from them. If they would re-design the pot, I would buy the new style for my old coffee maker.
