Product Description

Handsome in appearance and ingeniously designed, this 10-cup stainless-steel thermal carafe keeps coffee and other drinks hot for up to four hours. When used with the Capresso MT600 Digital Coffee Maker, the carafe lid stays closed during the brewing process, allowing the brew to enter through a small hole in the lid while preventing aroma and heat from escaping. With its drip-less spout and screw-in lid that turns to a pour position, the carafe can also be used on its own merit as a server of hot or cold drinks on a brunch or dinner buffet. Double-wall steel construction means no glass breakage to worry about, and the handle and top are all made of heat-resistant material.

Looks great. Lip broke easily. Have to twist your wrist to pour the final cup. Stailess pot DOES NOT keep the coffee warm. The instructions state that you "should" put hot water in the pot before making coffee. No way to keep the pot warming.

What a ripoff!! Yes, our original carafe got dropped and broken, but to charge $60 for a replacement is a crime!!! My wife saw the entire coffeemaker with carafe on sale this weekend at Crate & Barrel for the same amount. Doesn't make me a loyal customer of Capresso. Nor Amazon. Amazon gave a one cent discount off Capresso's list price for the replacement pot. Why is Amazon not it's usual cost-conscious friend of the consumer here?
