5.0 out of 5 stars Put The Kettle To The Metal!
I purchased this from amazon.com, and I really enjoy this electric kettle. I'm single, so it hold a generous amount of water. I am going to do the rest of this review in list style.

2.0 out of 5 stars Fast, But Beware....
I was looking for a compact electric kettle because, as a tea drinker, I wanted HOT water FAST. (The microwave oven was very slow, even for my one-cup-at-a-time use.) I selected this one because of the ratings and because of its clean lines. One thing I did not anticipate, which is important to know if you intend to purchase this particular model --- the outside of this...

5.0 out of 5 stars Put The Kettle To The Metal!, February 18, 2003
I purchased this from amazon.com, and I really enjoy this electric kettle. I'm single, so it hold a generous amount of water. I am going to do the rest of this review in list style.

Pros
----

- This thing looks gorgeous. If you are going for the metal/black look in your kitchen, it will fit right in.
- Nice tempature gauge thingie with a cute light.
- Easy to operate
- Nice retractable cord. Good for travel, or having it near your bed without a ton of cord to trip over. Also makes for a neat kitchen counter.
- Handle is solid and build far away from the metal decanter so you won't worry about burning yourself.
- Holds heat well, so you can come back and make several cups without hitting the heatup button.
- Seperates from the heating base with it's own flat plastic bottom. Perfect for bringing the decanter outside or to another room for pouring multiple cups of tea! No need to worry about dragging some cord or super red hot heating element with you to your dining table or patio.
- Nice rubberised lid and pouring lip. Let's the hot water run out without steam running up onto your delicate hamfists.

Cons
-----
- No Audible Bell when finished. I didn't mind. The less electronic elements that could go wrong, the better. If your aren't engaged in something loud, or you are close by, you'll hear it simmer down.

I still rate it 5 stars, because it takes care of the water fast enough that I don't care about a finish bell. We have enough things that go beep in our lives. Can we heat up some frigging water without sending an wireless e-mail in HTML with embedded audio?

Overall, It's well thought out and asthetically beautiful. I really enjoy it for making a pot of tea. Carry On!

5.0 out of 5 stars pretty happy with it, May 22, 2003
By A Customer
It's a great kettle, i mean it's hard to screw up making something this simple. however there are couple of things i don't like about it: it gets HOT, it is very very steamy, you have to keep it away from cupboards, and a very little but very annoying feature is when you open the top by depressing the button on top of the handle, it splashes you with water :)). other than this little annoyances this product is just fine.
and of course it looks great!

This review is from: Capresso 255.02 H2O Cordless Water Kettle, White (Kitchen)
I was looking for a compact electric kettle because, as a tea drinker, I wanted HOT water FAST. (The microwave oven was very slow, even for my one-cup-at-a-time use.) I selected this one because of the ratings and because of its clean lines. One thing I did not anticipate, which is important to know if you intend to purchase this particular model --- the outside of this kettle gets HOT! If you touch any part of it (other than the handle) after the water has boiled, you will know it.

This review is from: Capresso 255.02 H2O Cordless Water Kettle, White (Kitchen)
This is a great deal on a dependable, fast and safe way to heat water. I paid full price for mine, so when I saw it on sale I bought six more as gifts. Capresso is the best in my book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than a traditional water kettle!, October 1, 2005

I like to get boiled water fast without the hassle of using a water kettle. Reasons as follows:
1. You can forget the kettle while the water is being boiled. Even with a whistling type, I could still have forgotten given my morning rush to get to work (before the whistle starts). 2. This is a lazy excuse but I also don't like going back to the kitchen when the water is boiled to shut off the oven/range. With Capresso, you put it on and forget it (it shuts off automatically). A really nice convenience when I drink lots of tea and have to have hot water readily available.

5.0 out of 5 stars A convenient and excellent design., July 14, 2003

This review is from: Capresso 255.02 H2O Cordless Water Kettle, White (Kitchen)
I received the Capresso 255.02 Cordless Water Kettle, White, just a few days ago. I think it's the nicest looking water kettle I have seen. I love the spring cover which opens with one hand, the red water measure is handy, and it is very easy to lift off the base. I also like the fact that the cord can be lengthened or shortened and there is not an excess of cord on the counter. The design is simple but very functional. The full pot took about 5 minutes to boil, which is much less time that it would take on my stove. I am not easily impressed by most appliances, however, this one is a winner.
