We bought this kettle 10 months ago (in April of 2010) and it worked pretty well until now. It started to leak through the H2O glass and when you take it off of its base you can see a big pool on the base (underneath the kettle) as well as in the area around it. If I knew it won't last long I would never pay such price. Plus, we purchased it because of it's brand, and we were dissapointed to find out that Jura makes such crap. Now as we need a new kettle we ordered Saeco from Costco. Hope it's gonna last longer even though it costs $40. I would not recommend buying this Capresso kettle if you don't want to end up throwing away your money and look for something better in the nearest future.

I love this kettle. I drink instant coffee or hot chocolate or tea every morning. I have a gas stove and it would take a few minutes to heat up my water.The Capresso water kettle heats my water in less than a minute. It looks great on my counter too. It is a little bit loud when boiling water but it only lasts a minute. I highly recommend this kettle.
