What a gem this book is!

If you love the Ford Capri then this book is for you.

Covers each model in detail and a section on racing Capri's too.No matter which mark Capri you love the this is the book for you.Even though this book doesnt have any colour photos the black & white photos still make this book worthwhile. And,the book still deserves 5 stars.

If you can find a copy of this book keep it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Capri book ever written, January 10, 2010
This review is from: Capri: The Development and Competition History of Ford's European Gt Car (Hardcover)
This Jeremy Walton book is by far the most informative book ever written about these great cars. The author is very knowlegable and quite passionate about the Ford Capri. The book includes chapters about the design and development, racing heritage, and production updates etc. The Capri was designed to emulate the success of the original Mustang for the European market and many referred to it as the "European Mustang". Ford named it as one of their top 25 "Heart & Soul" vehicles in honor of their 100th anniversary as a car company.

The Capri was sold as a Mercury in North America and as a Ford in the rest of the world. My very 1st car was a 1972 Capri, and I owned several in a row when I was young in the late 70's. I decided to relive my youth and bought another 10 yrs ago and painstalkingly restored it. This book is a must for any Capri owner and enthusiast. If you always wanted one of these cars or used to own one the book will make you want to go out and get one.
